I really wish I could give this place a good review however I cannot. The staff was completely untrained and lost. The one server who knew what to do was completely overwhelmed wish I remembered her name bc she was the real MVP trying to make it work. The music is way too loud for people trying to have dinner. I get they want the lounge vibe how about you leave that for after 10pm when you stop serving dinner as most people enjoy conversation while waiting for their food and while they eat. The music was so loud I could not hear the person next to me. Which leads into the next problem ordering dinner, it was a pre fixe menu as we were there with a large party. Well most orders were wrong bc she couldnโt hear the order properly. When the orders did come out we either only received the appetizer or the main course that happened to be cold and burnt. My order was correct but Iโm one of 25 guess I got lucky. Moving on to with the ordering if you were thirsty you better had ordered your all your drinks at the beginning of the meal so they could get to you before dessert, if you went to the bar well the service was only a smidge faster bc well that same server had to come out and train the bartenders how to input the order into the computer and then how to check you out ๐๐ซ. They did certainly move quickly when the runners and other servers came to ask for shots of Henny. Guess thatโs why my watered down Malibu bay breeze was $18, yes I said $18 for all of maybe half an ounce of Malibu rum and the rest was juice. Letโs get back to the food mediocre at best, food descriptions did not match what was plated. We were supposed to have a dessert with our meal so hours later when the server yea the same one who was helping everyone else out and I wouldnโt be surprised if she was in the back cooking too, came to take our orders since you had 3 choices. Well guess what!! They brought out 20 servings of rum raisin ice cream which would have been great if we ordered that we asked for tres leches. So instead of letting us know they had run out they took it upon themselves to serve that! I mean really? Like seriously? Why not say something? No one ate the ice cream bc it was rum raisin ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ. We could have all left sooner had we been told the advertised dessert was all gone, btw they knew well in advance that there was a chance all 25 ppl would ask for this cake since they printed these personalized menus. I get it if we just randomly showed up but this was booked far in advance. Now if you are willing to have a large party with a pre fixe menu why would you not accept multiple credit cards? They told us yes a party of 25 that they can only split it on two cards! Ok well thatโs a problem why not say something up front so that each person or couple could get their own check? No instead they wait to the very end to try and figure this out then re bill the entire order! I do hope they get it together as I hate to see another local business fail. Maybe they should stick to the lounge atmosphere and server Tapas since thatโs the new trends and do away with the whole full...
ย ย ย Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit AVA AVA for their highly anticipated Sunday brunch, and it pains me to say that my overall experience fell far short of expectations. The service, a crucial element in any dining experience, was disappointingly poor. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, failing to provide the level of service one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. This lack of attentiveness had a significant impact on the enjoyment of the meal.
Moving on to the culinary aspect, the quality of the food was a major letdown. Several dishes arrived at the table visibly burnt, signaling a concerning lapse in attention to detail in the kitchen. One couldn't help but wonder about the chef's performance and whether there might be underlying issues, perhaps even related to alcohol consumption. It's disheartening to think that such a crucial element in the dining experience could be compromised.
Equally disconcerting was the management's response to the issues raised. When I approached them with my concerns, there was a notable lack of understanding and support. A restaurant's management should be the backbone of its operation, ensuring that patrons have a positive experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case at AVA AVA, leaving me questioning the overall professionalism of the establishment.
Adding to the frustration was the realization that AVA AVA lacks flexibility in its return policy. Despite the evident shortcomings in the dishes served, I was denied the opportunity to return any items. A lack of willingness to address customer concerns is a significant flaw in any dining establishment.
On a more personal note, I was deeply disturbed by inappropriate comments from the staff regarding my body size. As someone who falls into the category of a heavier-set individual, I believe that everyone deserves respect and accommodation regardless of their size. To experience body shaming from the staff only compounded the negative aspects of an already disappointing visit.
In conclusion, my time at AVA AVA's Sunday brunch was marred by subpar service, burnt food, potential issues with the chef, unresponsive management, and a lack of accommodation for customer concerns. I sincerely hope that this feedback serves as constructive criticism and encourages the necessary improvements for the benefit of...
ย ย ย Read moreThe service was horrible. We had a group of 8, so we made a reservation. The hostess did not seem to know we had a reservation so we helped her pull our tables together. Upon arriving someone in our party ordered a round of champaign for the table (more about that later). As soon as we sat down we asked for water. 20 minutes later we finally got bottles of water to the table. There were maybe 20 people in the bar/lounge at that time, including us. From the time we ordered drinks it took 30 min for 3 drinks to come out, we had to speak with our server to ask what was happening, 40 min after we ordered our drinks 4 more drinks arrived, and after speaking with our server 2 more times we finally got our last drink 60 minutes in, we were told it was happy hour so the bartender was busy (maybe 30 people were there including us by this point). You would think on a Friday night they would be prepared for less than 30 people. Immediately after we finally got a complete 1st round of drinks we ordered our second round because we knew it was going to be awhile. An hour and a half into our meal we got the champaign that was ordered when we arrived. More than an hour after we asked for our 2nd round we got our drinks. While we were there 2 more tables came and left because they also were frustrated with drink service. Though the food and food service was good, the poor drink service was so horrible that it ensured all 4 groups would never come back. We were a large party, ready to spend money, but because of the slow service we had 2...
