Review for The Why Coffee Shop
Walking into The Why Coffee Shop feels like stepping into a time machine straight to the 1950s. While some might find charm in its vintage decor, the outdated interior immediately gave us second thoughts. The space hasn't seen an update in decades—everything from the worn-out booths to the faded linoleum flooring screams mid-century, and not in the nostalgic, cozy way you might expect.
The atmosphere was a bit off-putting right from the start. We considered turning around and walking right out, but decided to give it a chance anyway. Unfortunately, the food didn't do much to redeem the experience. The menu offered basic diner fare, and what we ordered was, at best, average. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor, presentation, or quality—it felt like the food hadn't evolved with the times, much like the decor.
If you’re looking for a nostalgic experience that takes you back to another era, The Why Coffee Shop might offer a bit of that. But for those seeking a comfortable, modern dining experience with good food to match, you might want to pass...
Read moreMe and my BF were here earlier today and ordered home fries with our breakfast, normally I dont have an issue with this place but today was different. The homefries were soft and mushy I asked the owner could she put them back on and her response was she doubts the cook will do it because he's busy & that she would ask him. I dont know what kind of business owner responds that way to a customer? Im sure if a customer is unhappy with their food, its well within our rights to request the food be prepared we the paying customer would like it. I was very displeased which Im sure she (the owner) sensed as she did not make any attempt to come back to the table to check on us or offer us any kind of resolve for her unprofessionalism. Needless to say after coming to them since I was teenager, they've lost 2 customers. Maybe that will not mean anything to her but hopefully she sees this and brushes up on her customer service...
Read moreFound this mom and pop diner on our weekend trip to Niagara Falls, the hometown atmosphere was nothing you see anymore! It's definitely a locals spot, as they knew most of the patrons that were dining. It's a small space, with a few booths/tables and some counter seats; but the place was full when we arrived on a weekday. The service and kindness we received from all of the staff was unmatched to a local chain; they were attentive and kind. The food was great, we ordered everything from a breakfast sandwich to pancakes and bacon; everything was hot and delicious. The menu prices were incredible! I would recommend this little gem to anyone who likes a great diner. Glad we found this little hidden gem! They are cash only! Just a heads up...
