Busters Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in City of Plattsburgh

What can I say, I am absolutely blown away by the kindness of our waitress and the food was delicious. Our family of three have been meaning to try this place out for a while now and decided to go there last night. We were kindly greeted, seated and placed our orders. It was only after ordering our food and sitting there for a few minutes that we realized that we arrived 10 minutes before closing. We had not detected any hesitation or frustration from the staff and our only clue was that after looking around we seemed to be the only customers there. We felt absolutely terrible and mortified. When our waitress brought out our food we apologized and said she could bring us go-to containers so we could leave and she firmly said "no, you can absolutely sit here and enjoy your meal". She was so sweet and insisted we stay and relax. She even asked if we were interested in dessert at the end if the meal. Not one ounce of hurrying us along or acting like we were bothering her. AND the food was delicious! We will definitely be going back and will make sure it will be WELL before closing time....

EDIT 3/15/24: Decided to go back after hearing they have new ownership. Like I said before, it was my favorite place. Of course this doesn't include Clare and Carls. This time it was like it used to be. Faster service, and good size portions. I'll be returning soon.

So Busters was my favorite place in Plattsburgh. I really like The Mayweather Burger. I noticed a time or two ago, the portions getting smaller, that happens, the economy is tough right now.But this last visit was terrible. We were seated and our drink order was taken. 10 minutes later a water was delivered but no other drinks. Waitress said she would be right back with our drinks. She never returned. We waited another 15 minutes then left. We were there 30 minutes and were seated and gave drink orders, nothing else. Its too bad , they have good food but the service this time was terrible. Maybe they need more staff and can't find them? I would be more understanding if they were real busy but they were not. A few people inside and a few outback. I'm very disappointed, time to find a new favorite...

Decided to go and try out the food.There was four of us . We were sat in a cubby with a round table, with a fan on the wall inches from my head that was on high, and a fly that would not go away. Our waitress was efficient. I ordered the open faced hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. My meal was cold. The turkey was deli meat , the bread was hard , and my mashed potatoes had so much pepper in them , I ate only a couple bites of the whole meal . We also ordered a veggie burger , with sweet potatoes fries that were cold as well and not very good . We also got the chicken Parmesan, which had raw onions in it and was also cold. The atmosphere was very loud as we were sat by the back of the bar . I'm sure it's a great place to get a beer and after some bar food but not a very good dining place to enjoy a meal with your family . Unfortunately we will not be coming back to...
