Philly cheese steak sandwich. $16.72 after tax. Comes with fries. Sandwich bread is greased enough to where it’s not too dry or too moist. Meat is shredded and has a slight crispy slight gyro meat-like texture to it. Cooked onions. American cheese. I added green bell peppers, which they said no charge. They said everything is unseasoned unless the customer asks for seasoning, which is perfect. Diner vibe with seats at the counter - nice vibe, too bad it’s only daytime diner. Only things I would do differently when I go back: Swiss cheese instead of American, and I would ask for the fries to be in a non plastic container or wrapped in aluminum foil. Also, I would ask them to make sure there’s enough meat. I’ve had better Philly cheese steak sandwiches, but this place did it better than Euro Pizza in White Plains.

Cute, decent sized dinner in downtown White Plains. The walls are all decorated with celebrity photos like Marilyn Monroe, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis etc so it's a fun vibe. The servers are very kind and attentive, we sat at the bar too but it did take 40+min for our food to come out. The food was very delicious and tasty so I'm willing to come try again. Overall a good experience minus long wait for food.

Very homely diner. The owner is a big fan of Bruce Springstein as you can tell from the pictures on the walls. The food was great and the customer service was good. They close early due to the pandemic but when they are open, give them a try if you're in the area. The owner mentioned something about opening up a few nights to bring back the dinner crowd.

The price for portion size here is probably the worst I have ever seen, especially for a diner where you go in with a certain expectation! I am very surprised at the whole experience; having worked in the service industry for close to a decade, and specifically in restaurants, I totally know what makes up "difficult" customers, including how people can complain and not reallyyyyyy be right even though the age-old adage of "the customer is always right" usually applies... well, not so at Dorry's!! I opened up my to-go order, which took up about only 1/3 of the container (maybe even slightly less), and the presentation of the little food that was there was a sloppy mess, almost as if it had been dropped after plated. Mind you, I picked up this food myself and walked there so it wasn't sliding around in some car out for delivery either. For what I paid expecting a decent/regular sized meal, I was disappointed by the portion size but tried to do the right thing by calling the place and speaking politely to someone about my concern, all the while explaining that I was sorry (!!) if I was the one who was wrong by just not knowing what to expect being a first time customer about how much should be in there/how it should look. Again, citing all of my restaurant experience, it is usually customary to go above and beyond to satisfy the customer, (especially when they are NEW & NICE!) But the person I spoke to first of all brought up something completely irrelevant to my order about a GrubHub promotion applicable to delivery only (I mention this so they don't try to twist anything when they respond)- I had picked up my food and this was 100% a non-issue and was just a question asked for next time's order but I went ahead and paid for my food sans any promotion being honored which was TRULY truly fine, (as long as I got my money's worth of food which I never in a million years would think would be a problem...)... I was willing/wanting to order more food as well but wanted clarity and to express how shocked I was at what I had gotten for what I paid and was told "no one has ever complained before" -- ....ok well here's someone which is why I'm calling... then the individual literally said to me on the phone before hanging up: "I hope you find a place that will fill you up." Regardless of ANYTHING, you cannot speak that way to a customer! That is completely disrespectful and crossing a line- joke or not! So disappointed as before this, I thought this would be a regular go-to spot for me from now on as I work next door very long days and this looked quality from the outside. The girl I spoke to on the phone was very sweet as well. A shame-- really just didn't appreciate the way I was treated/spoken to when trying to simply address what was...

I just ate there on my lunch break. The food was good, could use a little more sauce. That might have been the best part of the experience. The staff isn't rude but there was this one waitress doesn't seem to know how to talk to people. I had gotten a wrap and so did my friend. It comes with fries. The man behind me needed ketchup, I had ketchup on my table. I hear her tell him she needs to get him another ketchup because the bottle she had was out. Now instead of asking if we were finished with the ketchup, she reaches over my food to grab it and give it to him. Now for me that's rude. I still had fries on my plate and so did my friend. At that point i stopped eating because I don't like that. She brings the check and neither of us had empty plates. When she grabs my friends plate the waitress put her napkin in her plate so if she wanted to take it to go, at that point we couldn't. After she did that is when she saw my plate and asked me if I wanted to take it to go. My friend had more food on her plate then I did... At that point I was over it but now when it comes to charging they made a mistake, had to void and redo it. I'm not so upset about that because I saw it wasn't the older ladies fault, she was having issues with the machine prior. Instead of charging the difference I now have to wait a couple days to receive it back. It was my second time there. The first time was nice. This time not so much but maybe I'll give it another chance and change the review but as for now. That was my experience. It's all about...

First: ignore the menu. It hasn’t been updated since inflation and we spent $10 more than expected. I ordered for a pick up. The guy on the phones was very nice. He is the only reason I give stars for service. When I went to pick up the food, no one was behind the counter to greet customers. It was fairly busy so I understood that. However, I was ignored for 10 minutes as the waitresses looked past me and moved around me, not once acknowledging my presence. I was really confused because when a waitress came to the counter, she served someone else and then left without any greeting or acknowledgement. Eventually, someone else came to put my pickup order on the counter and then rushed away without speaking to me. I didn’t want to be rude so I tried to be patient, but it felt like the burden was on me to stop someone and ask to be served. Eventually, a young man - who I assume was the same person on the phone - asked me what I needed and gave me my order. I paid in cash and left.

The corned beef hash was pretty small for $15 but my husband said it was very good. The waffle and bacon was fine. It’s one big waffle and 4 pieces of bacon for $12. The experience was so frustrating and demoralizing that it was harder to...
