Very rarely do I feel compelled to leave a review, but I couldn’t let this one go.
I ordered two grandma slices and 2 orders of garlic knots 8 knots total.. totaled up to about $22 which was in my opinion was too much for what I was served. I’ll gladly pay for good food.. except it wasn’t.
The garlic knots.. were flavorless and aggressively dense. Not even a hint of any fresh garlic, parsley or grated parm. The knots matched the bland and flavorless marinara. Not sure if the sauce was made in house or if it was from a jar but it is an abomination. It was just greasy bread with red dipping juice..
The two grandma slices did not save the meal. The slices must have had the same tasteless marinara. These slices were devoid of any flavor. Calling this slice a ‘grandma slice’ kills the namesake of any Italian grandma. Or maybe it’s called the grandma slice because my nona would be rolling in her grave if I...
Read moreCity Pizzeria is the spot to go to!!! They have the best Pizza in the City of White Plains and the service is great! City Pizzeria is a recently renovated Italian Restaurant/Sports Bar with many TV’s to grab some good eats and catch The Big Game. They are conveniently located on Main Street (easily accessible from the 4th Floor of the City Center Parking Garage) and the staff is always friendly and welcoming whether you are just stopping by for a quick slice or hosting a get-together in their private party room. Bring the family and have a nice family meal, or bring your buddies and sit around their amazing Bar which is the perfect place to hang out for “Sunday Football”. Ricardo, the Bartender, is very friendly, and is always serving up the best cocktails! I have had the opportunity to meet the owners (Frankie & Anthony) and they are both very nice and I am so glad they opened up such a cool spot in...
Read moreWe had a great dinner this evening. We stumbled upon this gem because Friday’s in White Plains was closed and we wanted to watch the football game. I hope anyone looking for proper Italian cuisine stops by for dinner. Our eyes and belly’s were hungry but so satisfied. We watched the game and ate. The TV wasnt too loud so it was a calm dinner.
Our server JC was so friendly and accommodating to my 4 kids. We had a visit from the chef - kids loved that!
We ordered: Large meatball, caramelized wings, garlic knots, chicken noodle soup, large plain pie, eggplant parm, balsamic salmon, side of caesar salad and penne a la vodka. Chef accommodated our no pork request for the pasta. Dessert: zeppole and cannoli.
Posted some pics.
