My family and I were very excited to finally see your store open in our town of white plains. We went there last week with my husband, myself and my two children. We went to the cashier and told her that my family and I were going to order few items from the menu to share with everyone. I ordered the fries with the beef, the fried rice with chicken and we order chicken wings. I was giving an option of soy, spicy and Korean bbq. We told her since we are sharing with my children I do the bbq and the spicy.
We honestly thought that the spicy wings were mild like everywhere else and the chasquee never warmed me that they were SUPER SPICY. When we received the order we started splitting between the children and us and my son eat the fries and he immediately told us it was spicy, he tried the bbq wings and also was too spicy for him. So he couldn't even eat except for the rice and we also gave our daughter only the rice. When my husband and I ate the spicy wings we immediately felt this was was too spicy and we just eat the bbq ones and they were still a little spicy but we could handle them. My husband went to speak with the cashier about the spiciness of the food and it would have been nice for her to let us know that it was spicy for children to eat and we could have order something else. We had to throw away the wings because we couldn't eat them. He told the cashier that we hate to throw away food and all she said was that there is a difference between Korean spicy and American Spicy. My husband saw the manager looking at him through the kitchen window while he was speaking to the cashier but he never had the intention of coming to find out about our concern. The cashier didn't have the power to do something for us but we know the manager did and he didn't even care to approach me. There was 2 more tables around us that complained about how spicy the food was and one of them also had to throw their food away. I didn't want to make a big deal about it and decided to leave and make sure to write a review on Google. We decided to contact corporate first and we waited for a week and no one contacted us so we decided to write the review now. I just felt bad with my family because we spent a lot of money on the food today and either my children or ourselves had a good meal and had to throw some of the food away. Overall the other items that we order were good and have no complaint about the quality of the food. I just would have loved for the cashier to let us know about the spiciness of the food ahead of time. We hope to hear...
Read moreIntroducing the newest gem in White Plains: Bonchon Chicken! 🍗🎉 This global sensation brings Korean-style fried chicken to our doorstep, and let me tell you, it's a flavor fiesta! 🌟🇰🇷
I’m so glad they opened. I still frequent the location on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan all the time.
Imagine this: crispy, double-fried chicken that's like biting into a crunchy cloud of joy, with flavors that dance on your taste buds. From the lip-smacking soy garlic to the "bring on the heat" spicy options, each bite is a flavor explosion! 💥🔥
But wait, there's more! Bonchon doesn't stop at just chicken—think bibimbap and bulgogi too! The menu's a delightful journey through Korean cuisine, promising deliciousness at every turn. 🍲🥢
What's the secret behind their cult-like following, you ask? It's that magic double-frying technique—keeping things crispy on the outside while sealing in all the juicy goodness inside. Plus, those saucy choices? They're the real MVPs, adding that extra oomph to every dish.
In summary, if you're craving a taste of outstanding friend chicken and/or Korea in Westchester, Bonchon Chicken is the place to be. Trust me, your taste buds will...
Read moreThis Bonchon in White Plains is painfully average. The chicken is passable but nothing special, and the corn dog? Honestly, it’s an abomination—don’t waste your money. The only real plus is their lunch menu pricing, which is decent.
The real issue here is the service. Most of the staff are fine, but there’s one older guy who works there who is incredibly rude and makes the entire experience uncomfortable. He acts like he can't stand customers and goes out of his way to be unhelpful. No idea why management allows someone like that to represent the place—he seriously drags the whole vibe down.
Also, the water cup situation is ridiculous. Every time I've gone, they've given out small plastic cups. Last time, the same grumpy guy flat-out lied and claimed they "never do that" and that they were "out of cups." Total nonsense—and delivered with an attitude that made it even worse.
Fix the food, fix the attitude, and maybe people will actually want to come back. Until then, it's just...
