Pokemoto - White Plains — Restaurant in City of White Plains

I’ve been coming here with my kids almost weekly and it has always been great. The bowls are yummy, kind staff and very clean, comfortable place. But today’s visit was super disappointing. The rice was very undercooked and almost inedible. Not only that but the tapioca pearls in the bubble tea was rock hard… and we were so sad… :( I mentioned this to the staff but was told that these were made since the morning by the morning staff so they have no control…. I was there around 7pm. They should’ve either reheated the bubbles or make new ones because obviously tapioca hardens after 4 hours or so… clearly the bubble teas are not selling if it’s been sitting there since morning. either that or it was badly undercooked like the rice as well. Anyway it was very disappointing today. My kids and I barely drank the taro milk also because today’s was too sweet so basically just threw 2 drinks away when I paid like $13 for 2 of the bubble teas… couldn’t even get a refund because they didn’t know how to refund… :( I’m very picky about bubble teas so normally I wouldn’t order at a place where the staff seemed pretty clueless on how to use the bubble tea machine but the other times they’ve always managed to pulled through and because it’s convenient I’ve been ordering. But after today’s experience I won’t be ordering the bubble teas from here anymore. On top of all this the Miso soup was cold… like it just seemed like they gave up today, they not...

This was my first time at a Pokemoto . I decided to build my own bowl. The music was so loud the nice girl couldn’t even hear me and she was so soft spoken. I ordered and chose the things I want in the bowl. I ordered a boba taro tea and then the girl rang me up. After I paid she then told me there is no more taro and if I want something else. I told her no I don’t want anything else but she said she doesn’t know how to refund me for the boba tea charged. I ended getting a mediocre coffee boba tea, it tasted terrible and watery. I got to my car to eat my bowl because I was on the go and noticed there’s tangerine or orange slices in my bowl that I did not ask for and also happen to be allergic to. She must have misheard me because of the insanely loud music. Anyway, I couldn’t eat my food, it was too late for me to go back in there to have them fix it,...

so i really do like this place a lot. the food is always good, we’ve never gotten sick here, the staff is always friendly. but today something happened that makes me worried. the cashier was literally bribing customers with free items to leave a 5 star review. my friend and i went in and he said he’d give her a free drink if she rated 5 stars on google. then he watched as my friend went to google and rated 5 stars and watched her submit it before giving her a free drink. i don’t know why he did this, maybe something bad happened and they are trying to recoup a good rating but it made me feel really uneasy. so just now i log in to look at the recent reviews and im guessing all the ratings below with no comments are fake…

like i said before today i really had nothing bad to say about this place but now i dont like dirty...
