Well, as far as I’m concerned. I don’t believe that I will be going back to this “cuisine“.
You call yourself a “Turkish cuisine” In the middle of one of most prestigious areas in Westchester County and have zero clue what customer service means. We arrive there and absolutely not one person greeted us. That should’ve been my indication to not eat there, I had to literally say “hello.” Strike one… In which the waitress told me sit wherever we wanted and handed us the menus. Didn’t even have a common courtesy to walk us to the table. Strike two….
The place was completely empty (I now know why) and the server took a very long time to even attend to us. The owner or I’m guessing manager was too busy speaking on the phone and wasn’t attentive at all either. No one in this entire restaurant had a personality or any type of manners. But, with all of that, I still gave them the benefit of doubt, right?
We ordered our food, waited patiently, and it was halfway decent. The owner or manager passes by us still talking on the damn cell phone, did not even acknowledge us not one time, nor asked if everything was OK.
For the prices. It is completely overrated. For the lack of personality and lack of customer service. I wouldn’t go here ever again.
There is a different Turkish restaurant Westchester that is far better than this place as a matter of fact, you will get a better meal if you go to Paneras where people...
Read moreFirst time I ordered and picked up myself. They have a sign posted that their food prices went up ( I believe it’s because of COVID time), not a problem with me! But I ordered the following items. Paid at the store, tipped for my own service out of courtesy, drove out of White Plains, got a call from the restaurant and they informed me that they have forgotten to put Zucchini pancakes in my bag. I am glad that they called, told them no problem (though it was paid for) we moved forward. Went home and found poorly packaged, mixed grill as it sounds but the food looked like there was a hurricane and someone just threw it all in a container and ran, taste wasn’t something that I would remember or to be precise, should remember! I am not here to speak my mind, we ate Turkish foods in Turkey and many countries, I couldn’t match the taste with any. The owner and chef are requested to reconsider something, please do not serve your eaters to board one way ticket, make a plan to round trip and more. Put your minds into the food as if you are serving food to your own family. I am tired of seeing many restaurants are just using the name of their cultural heritage and serves their own Made in China quality of food.
To all eaters, use your own discretion to select this restaurant.
1 x ZUCCHINI PANCAKES (Mucver) $8.84 1 x ISKENDER KEBAB $22.75 1 x MIX GRILL $35.27 1 x...
Read moreOkay, I ate here and I should have left when my first impression told me loud and clear that it was a shthole. If your school cafeteria served 'Turkish' food, it would probably be a lot like this. Having grown up on real Turkish food in Brooklyn, I have some idea what I'm eating. This is some low rent, perhaps, Mexican version of Mediterranean cuisine. A shepherd salad is quite simply the requisite vegetables with a lemon, olive oil and parsley dressing. This shepherd salad had bottled Italian dressing on it! Now, one would think if you were going to pay the rent to be on the Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, perhaps you put your best foot forward with your dining room and the table service. There's no table service here- or heat for that matter. There's a table with paper plates, some napkins and some plastic forks- oh, and the sign that tells you to clean up after yourself. Help yourself. Just like the school or jail cafeteria. Classy joint. Bottom line, if you have any idea what you're eating, you aren't eating here. This is Mediterranean food for people who have no idea what Mediterranean food is. I disliked it so much, I'm regretting the quarters I put in the meter! Go someplace else. Any place else. It'll be better than...
