Hello! My name is Sha'Toya Young and I recently had an interview at the Chipotle located Uptown Cleveland at 11452 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH. During my interview I had a wonderful experience talking everyone. All of the managers had very bright personalities with great attitudes and positive personalities on the day of the interview and even attempted to hire me on the spot (They were excited for me to start). They attempted scanned my id and social the same day 03/14/2022 however they did not have someone that knew how to scan my documents that day so they told me to come back the next day 03/15/2022 (On my birthday). When I came back the next day the energy was not the same. Questions were rushed and the managers seemed to have an attitude. I then learned that I was ineligible to work there because I worked at Chipotle in 2012 as my first job and it was documented that I could not be rehired. Instead of being polite about it or direct about it, I felt like I was given the cold shoulder instead of an explanation. It doesn't hurt me but I felt like I was discriminated against because my personality is different from others. As I left, I heard gossip, rumors and insults (not from the managers but from other employees) and I feel judged by people who don't really know me or have tried to get to know me. I go through a lot but I keep a smile on my face because I know that one day I will be hired by the right employer for me one day. I am a hard working individual with a lot of potential and I am highly motivated. Yet, I am happy that they did not hire me because I got the chance to see why that opportunity would not have been right for me. I truly hope that they won't make anyone else feel discriminated against or ambush people with lies anymore because in the end it looks bad for business and the point of running a business is the treat all customers/employees/ future employees fairly no matter what race/ tone of skin they are, what they are wearing, what they're disability is or if they are pregnant. I left feeling judged, embarrassed and discriminated against, yet, I felt like they used me working at another chipotle in 2012 as the excuse they needed to not give me a chance because the way they treated me before they found out I had a boyfriend and I was pregnant they were excited to have me work for them but after they found out they changed their intentions to hurt me. This won't discourage me from continuing to be a customer at chipotle because I love the food however, I will not Shop or eat at the chipotle in this area because I felt like they wanted me to feel low with the indirect disrespect I was given. I hope things change there and when they meet someone else who is in my position that they won't try to do the same thing to them that they did to me. I would rate 5 stars for food but take off 3 because of how the employees attempted to embarrass me. It felt set up to raise peoples hopes and hurt them from what I noticed. My head is still held high and I wish everyone the...
Read moreThis location needs a change in management. On Friday night, I waited over an hour to pick up one sofritas bowl. My pickup time was 8:00pm, and I didn't leave until 9:15pm. There was no way to get refunded in the app as the purchase goes through immediately despite what's happening in store, so I couldn't leave. The app also does not give any type of live updates on if your food is ready or not, only saying that it will be ready at your set time (which is hardly the case). There were probably 50 people in the store in between the order in and pickup waiting lines. The employees were swamped with Doordash orders, as there's no way to set a limit on how many they get. They eventually lost track of all the orders, and were taking people's names down to start them up again. We eventually were pushed to wait outside. The employees did a great job of handling this mess of a busy night, and talked to everyone individually to make sure all orders were eventually processed. I really appreciate the hard work they were putting in. The management at this store is horrible. Stop understaffing your restaurants, your employees don't deserve to deal with this bs constantly. Set a limit to the amount of online orders you take. Set up a secondary area for pickup orders to be dealt with. Hire more staff so that your employees can get everything done in a timely manner. If I was working in a store that was this insanely backed up with no involvement from management, I'd walk out. As someone with food service management experience, it was sad to see what these employees and other customers had to deal with on this night. Talk to your corporate and...
Read moreLike many other places things run out so it’s understandable that sometimes it’s a wait. Shortly after walking in we where told it was no more white rice for the night but they had brown none of the people with me had the brown before but really wanted chipotle so we waited. With one customer in front of us we are now told there is no more brown rice and there will be a 20min wait. After waiting a total of 45 mins while the staff is obviously without a manager a lady who said she has been there 2 years and is the manager in training without a trainer might I add did her best to make other costumers aware of the wait time which constantly changed. Oh wait did I say they said it would be no more white rice for the night and most of the other people stayed because they initial wanted brown and not white. Welp after the 45 min wait white rice came out and the I want to be manager decided to take one of my bowls that a nice young man started making me as soon as the rice came out he jumped on in to action. Now the manager in training with no trainer decided she was just gone grab one of my bowls and start making her friends bowl that came in way after me which was a hard no for me then the in training with no trainer decided to have a big attitude just because you work somewhere for a length of time doesn’t mean you are qualified for the job They need a manager there at all times it’s unfair to the staff to work like that and the customers. Chicken was over...
