I was staying at the Hilton this pass weekend. And stopped by the great room. Man did I have a great time. The host amber is VERY friendly talking to her is like talking to a long lost friend. Very nice very down to earth beautiful smile and was able to talk to us in Spanish! Also the bartender Moni I believe her name was . Was also fluent in Spanish and was super nice! We came back to the great room a few times over the weekend and amber remembered us held good conversation before getting us a server. We came back before we left back to Nyc to say good bye to her . The environment is incredibly noisy and the seating is less than comfortable and in the middle of major traffic ways between the hotel and the Fifth Third building. I actually ate here twice during my stay out of convenience needs. The burger I had the first night was just okay. The steak I had the second night was subpar at best. It was cooked okay, but low quality. Service both nights was less than friendly, and we had two instances of food coming out cold. Read moreI recently visited the Marriott Great Room and was disappointed with both the food and service. The crab cake was excessively salty and dry. The Caesar salad was underwhelming with dry, tasteless chicken, and the flatbread was unfortunately inedible due to its staleness and the quality of the meat on it.
The service was incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes for our order in an almost empty restaurant. To add to the frustration, the check was handed to us abruptly, giving us the feeling that they wanted us leave.
