We tried to get in here after the party we were at but were unaware of a lot of things. The seat yourself; when we arrived, there was no one directing anything and no signage stating to sit wherever. There was a sign stating that the patio was not being serviced and you had to order at the bar. Found someone and asked and was told sit wherever. Ok, fine. There was a table that was dirty and a table that was being held by some keys. The dirty table got cleaned so we went for it which is when some lady stepped in and said the table was cleaned for her. Ok cool, enjoy your table…we left her standing by it. Then saw a couple getting up from another table, so we swooped in and sat and a waitress was close by to clean it up. She came back and proceeded to start to our order of drinks and then as we were looking at the food menu, she stated the kitchen had closed a couple minutes prior, no signage indicating this but Bar 32 will be open for a couple more hours. She asked if we still wanted the drinks and told us that the Burnham was still open. We left and headed to the Burnham thanking the waitress. Meanwhile, the lady was still standing alone near the table that was cleaned off for her. It’s a bar and the music was loud. In the time we were there I developed a headache cause the music was loud. Which meant the conversations around were load as well. So after being turned down for food service and leaving, a headache was in full swing. I don’t know, maybe the best drinks are made here and it’s the best food, but we didn’t get to experience it as we were told the kitchen was closed and Burnham was opened. Then we missed that too as there was no one at the stand and dinner closed in a mere 30...
Read moreDon’t ever do a proposal here! Or a planned special occasion. Manager won’t help you out at all. Wouldn’t let me get a reservation or hold a table for a proposal... then the outside was closed “due to high wind” it was 14mph and they said it was 17mph based on airport meter and wouldn’t even let us out there for 5min.... then they wouldn’t let the parents of my friends in because of COVID even tho they had masks on. They said they could get fined which yes I get but every place I’ve been to had more people in it. Everyone was spaced out too in the bar... I understand policies but come on... my friends had to do the proposal in the corner of the bar behind a pillar... and their parents didn’t even get to see it…he would have tried to do it somewhere else but they had rooms booked. Manager didn’t even seem to care either or had no sympathy that it botched their proposal. I’ve worked in the restaurant business and if someone wanted to do a proposal, I would go out of my way to do anything I can for them. Server was very nice and brought some free glasses of champagne. Only suggest this place for a quick visit or a pretty evening. Not a place for any planning. Very disappointed in management and “rules” and figured a multi billionaire hotel company would accommodate ppl...
Read moreBar area is very nice, light and airy. Bear in mind that the patio itself is pretty small, so plan on spending a little bit of time waiting for a table to open up - first come, first served, so keep your eyes open!
Drinks menu is diverse, and bar will mix whatever else you care to ask for. We usually have sparkling wine or my partner will spruce it up with a French 75 (hold the simple).
Appetizers have nice portions (shrimp cocktail can't miss) with several to choose from among.
Live entertainment some nights, set up at the opposite end from the patio so the sound doesn't get in the way of the good vibes.
Great for friends or romantics or relaxing after a day in with clients.
Excellent views of sunsets when weather cooperates (which is at least sometimes, not never). Night views are always good, with boat traffic on the water and city views on each...
