Amazingly affordable food! Great experience at beginning of March. 1 waiter, Roath, very kind and helpful. You can bring your own drinks in. Plenty of seating area. Very small bathroom. Our opinion of the food: #8 - Hue Beef Soup(small -$3.65) : The "medium" spice catches you in the back of the throat, so if you are more sensitive, ask for "mild"(I personally couldn't take a spoonful without coughing). It will still have heat but won't be overpowering. The soup itself is delicious and packed with flavor and we would definitely recommend. #23A - Khmer Bunn (beef)($9): This is a rice noodle dish with some heat and was pretty tasty. #94 - Chicken Chha Kreoung Ma Rass Prowt(L-$8, D-$11): Amazingly fresh, yet rich flavor. This dish is one of the "healthier" options and can also be ordered as vegetarian or pescatarian. I would recommend the "medium" heat which is spicy but not enough to make you sweat. Appealing ingredients included: lime leaves, garlic, turmeric root, galanga root, coconut whip, Ma Rass Prowh(Asian vegetable) and fresh lemon grass. Think of how you would order any curry dish with steamed rice on the side(same idea). Obviously, this earned a 5/5 with my tastebuds. #D7- House Special Drink: We topped off our meal with a refreshing tropical drink that included pineapple, jackfruit, and guanabana(aka Soursop). It was delicious and would highly recommend.

Read moreI never write google reviews, but this place deserves one.
I was hungry in the middle of bar-hopping on a Saturday night, and I wanted to eat at some place that wasn’t packed. Well, this place was completely empty. That would leave some skeptical, but it had great reviews on google so I walked in. I was the only person in the establishment. A friendly guy came up and gave me a menu. I was too lazy to look at the menu and I just asked the guy to bring me whatever he likes. He said “spicy?” I said “sure, light me up”.
He returned about two minutes later with a plate that can be described as some sort of stir fry with a side of rice. I dipped my fork in the sauce and tasted it. It was at that moment I realized, this wasn’t just any stir fry. This was something special. It was unlike anything I’ve ever had. It wasn’t greasy. It wasn’t oily. And it wasn’t heavy. It was exactly what I needed. I cleaned the entire plate in a matter of minutes. The server saw my enjoyment, and even though the place was empty, he was proud that he had one happy customer that enjoyed his food.
I have no idea why the place was completely empty around 6:00 on a Saturday night, but the food at this place is excellent. I can’t wait to go back later this week with my brother.
Ten stars...
Read moreWonderful food, warm casual atmosphere, charming attentive service. If you like Thai food and are ready for something a little different, this Cambodian restaurant is the perfect place to shift gears. The menu is extensive, exotic and potentially even a little intimidating, but every dish is well explained and there are a few familiar items such as spring rolls and curry. Many dishes include one of a variety of different types of noodles. Most dishes are available with beef, chicken, roasted pork, shrimp or vegetarian. The variety of options is almost bewildering. They even have a pumpkin custard dessert that had everyone at my table remarking how good and unexpected each dish is here. The service is thoughtful and efficient while being both polite and personal. The restaurant is very clean too. They do not sell alcohol but they allow diners to bring their own. Phnom Penh is a low key gem for people who put a high priority on carefully prepared, fresh,...
