Review:
We were there in the morning of Thursday , March 7 to celebrate the birthday of our friend. There were 20 of us that came. We asked to be seated close to each other, but the waitress refused to grant our request. There were several open tables that were close to each other that were more than enough to accommodate us all but for no reason she refused to give it to us to the point that she tried to block one table with her body with both arms stretched so we wonāt occupy it. She refused to give us her reason why she had to sit us apart. It was so ridiculous for a waitress to do that to her customers.
Weāve been to this particular branch several times to celebrate a birthday. We came not begging for food but we paid whatever we ordered and gave tips! We are not bringing trouble to your place instead, we are bringing our money in exchange for your service. Your customers deserve respect and kindness!
Because of this, our group will stop coming to this particular branch because your customer service is very poor!
We tried to talk to the manager but were told that the manager was not around! If it was true that the manager wasnāt there, then we ask you, Mr. or Ms. Manager to look into this issue and investigate. Or if that was you, Manager trying to disguise as just a waitress, if so, you are not kind and welcoming to your customers. You have a very poor customer service. Youāre not deserving! They already decorated for Halloween so it was fun to have that as part of the atmosphere. Service, we were a family of 7 and when they took us to our table they actually planned to separate us, 3 parents, 3 children and a grandma. That wasn't gonna work for us so when I went to tell them we didn't want to be separated the quick reply was defensive with a "Well that's what I have." I pointed out a booth that could fit us and was told "That's for 6." I said we can manage and noticed a small table next to it. I asked if we could add it to the end and after a couple of back and forth about how to make it work it was done. I'm guessing that was the manager. My only gripe is that she was resistant to it, could have easily been a pleasant experience if she was just chill about it. Yo her credit she was willing to listen, maybe cause I wasn't mad and just stating what might work. Our actual server was a delight and we didn't feel rushed in any way. My daughter's best friend was visiting from Berkeley and they were looking forward to eating at IHOP and having some milk shakes together! When I picked up my daughter she was very disappointed because they had a bad experience. She told me that they order their food and when the waiter was taking the menus she ask him to leave one because they were going to order something else after they were done eating. The waiter did not wait for them to order anything else and he just walk up to the table and gave them the bill. My daughter's friend let the waiter know that they wanted to order a milk shake. The waiter snatched the bill from the table and crunched the paper in his hand. The girls then ordered two milkshakes. Each milkshake cost $5 plus.
