I've always been skeptical about corn dogs; they never really appealed to me even as a child. However, with Two Hands Korean Corn Dogs conveniently located near my office, curiosity got the better of me. The place was bustling when I walked in, filled with people both standing and sitting. Though space is limited with just 5-6 small tables, it's manageable outside of rush hours. The decor and overall vibe of the place were welcoming and inviting.
While waiting in line, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ajay. He was not only greeting customers but also took the time to walk me through the menu. Their variety was astonishing, ranging from all-beef and spicy options to cheese-filled and even plant-based corndogs. To my delight, they also served boba, which is a personal favorite of mine. On this visit, I opted for their signature Two Hands dogs and dirty fries. As my order was being prepared, Ajay shared his vision for the restaurant, a concept born from his travels. His passion for his work and the restaurant was palpable in our conversation. He was hands-on, assisting with everything from greeting to cleaning tables. He mentioned that each corndog is freshly made, taking about 10-14 minutes to prepare, which was precisely the case for my order.
The first bite was a revelation. The freshness was evident, and the burst of flavors was simply amazing. Ajay even demonstrated a neat trick to make eating the corn dog easier. The dirty fries, essentially seasoned tater tots, were crispy and enjoyable (though I added ketchup, just a personal touch). While dining, I noticed a combo special offering a corndog, fries, and a drink for just $10 – a fantastic deal, especially for lunch.
A few tips for potential visitors: Two Hands is located in the Sierra Vista Mall, so parking can be tricky during peak hours. While they don't take phone orders, online ordering and delivery through apps like UberEats and DoorDash are available. It's a must-try spot, especially if you're looking to spice up your lunch routine with something...
Read moreAJ greeted us outside during grand opening while in line and was very friendly/welcoming. I had ordered the potato dog meal with dirty fries and did a $2 drink upgrade for the boba drink coffee latte. The style of corn dog starts at $4.99 and based on the fillings (meat, cheese, or half and half choice) you’ll get charged ~$2 or nothing for the “preferred choice” of half meat and half cheese. The Korean corn dog was amazing. Cheese was soooo gooey and stretchy! The batter inside of the corn dog was fluffy yet chewy and the outside was very crispy. You also can taste the potatoes on the coating. Perfect amount of coating on the corn dog as well not too thick or too thin! The tater tots were also crispy and tasty! I just wished there was more sauce on both the dirty fries and Korean corn dog. The sauce amount did not compare to the advertised menu photos. But I love that they did not charge me extra for their specialty or signature sauce when I asked for some on the side. The coffee latte boba drink was great, too! However, the ice portioning was filled up to 3/4th of the cup and they also ran out of boba so no boba. I felt they should’ve given a small discount for the drink as a solution to compensate running out of bobas. I also recommend they should go less on the ice. The service overall was fast especially for a big crowd during grand opening and employees were friendly. I also loved that they had a little dine-in area. Decorations/set up was fun, vibrant,...
Read moreI looked forward to trying these corn dogs out. They have potential. I love the idea and the flavor idea looked great especially hot Cheetos powder, yummy. I went on the grand opening day and waited for almost 2 hours (a fun adventure with kids) for a free corndog and got the potato version and spicy version along with Dirty fries and Kimchie seasoned fries. I think my expectations were too high. Spicy wasn't spicy and the spicy sauce was sweet (not hot). The potato dog version had a limited number of potato squares on the outside (much less than one you'd find in Korea town down south or the Bay area). Both dogs had the Cheetos powder but I couldn't really taste it. Both dogs were not as crunchy as I would like (more chewy than crunchy). They tasted good, just not great. The Kimchi seasoned fries tasted mainly like regular fries with a little hint of some sort of Kimchi flavor and the portion was small. The Dirty fries were tasty (my favorite of all that I had) but small portions also. The owner was very friendly along with the staff (thumbs up for that). It's a new spot and I expect it will get better over time and can't wait to see if it will evolve. The price is relatively inexpensive so worth a try for anyone who wants to try a new spin...
