The place was packed when we arrived and waited a few minutes for a seat. They led us to a booth that had duct tape on it and my pants were sticking to it and made it hard to slide over, especially when you’re sinking in a booth. Not a huge deal. We ordered quickly because we were starving. My hubs ordered a lg OJ that took asking 3 times before he received it with breakfast. And the wrong one to boot. He took his plate away to correctly give him his breakfast sandwich with well done hash browns and dropped mine off, and when he came back with the right one for him I alerted him that the plate in front of me was wrong. He proceeded to take the correct one from him and my incorrect one and come back with the first plate without well done hash browns for him and my correct food, which had overcooked eggs (I put a fork in them and was able to pick up both eggs, no problem-not over easy) and the whole plate was barely warm. I decided against saying anything because the fiasco just to get breakfast was a bit ridiculous. I was hungry. Due to my lack of hot food I checked the hub’s 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy which were getting that coating when they get cold, not even warm. He brought him hot fresh biscuits and gravy and it was good. I added some gravy to what was left of my hash browns so I could have my last bite be hot. In the middle of the meal our server told us they were sending him on break and dropped our check. I found it really odd in the middle of service to go on break. In my 28 years of hospitality, I’ve never had that happen. Poor service. The woman who refilled my coffee and cleared plates was absolutely lovely and I wished she had been the one taking care of us because the short exchange we had was great. Upon paying, the cashier asked how everything was to which he replied, “it was just ok.” “Have a great day!” Ok thanks. I wasn’t going to review, but that was the icing on the cake. Why ask how it was when it was unsatisfactory and you aren’t going to follow through? Forget it and go somewhere else and pay a few extra bucks for a...
Read moreBad choice for a restaurant while in Cody - Avoid!
Visited this restaurant at 6 pm on a Sunday night and they were overwhelmed with patrons because many places we tried were closed. We were drawn to the place because the menu lists a salad bar on their menu. Upon entering I checked it out and many salad bar items were empty. I asked the hostess seating me if she could have them refill things, then I asked the waitress twice, and asked an older lady meandering behind the salad bar. It appears that in one hour they were able to add more beets to the salad bar instead of lettuce, dressing, olives, potato salad, the list goes on. So disappointed, and let my server know I would like to speak with the manager about reducing my check due to no salad that came with both of our meals. She said the blonde lady at the front would take care of me.
10 minutes later the blonde woman dismissed me and said that there was no problem with the salad bar and she didn't care. Hmmm... I heard her nasty comments to my waitress from the booth I was sitting, but thought that she would have some level of customer service. In fact, I paid the bill, left and was waiting for my daughter who was in the bathroom. My daughter came and out told me that the blonde lady was saying very nasty things about me. I think this speaks volumes of the customer service this establishment provides. There is no way I could recommend this establishment to anybody.
What this young woman doesn't realize is that she is the first person I encountered in Cody, WY. She is the image I will remember of this town, and it is such a shame to be such a nasty human being. There was so much she could have done, or even just apologized because they were busy. Who knows if she was actually a manager, a part time staffer or even the owner? Does it really matter? If you wanted to be treated like dirt, Granny's...
Read moreAs a rule I normally don't leave negative reviews. I think this may be my second. My husband and I after traveling 8 hrs, checked in to our room and wanted to eat at a local restaurant. Unfortunately, this one was a mistake. The older waitress forgot our salad and brought it about 5 minutes prior to our meal. I can understand she may have had a long day. The tea I was told was sweet, it was nowhere near, just get unsweet. I asked about their spaghetti and was told if I wanted Italian, there was a restaurant down the street. Ok, I am tired and she is a quippy waitress. My husband and I settled on burger steak and fries for him and chicken tenders and fries for me. Back to the salad. He asked for French dressing, oh yes we have it, it tasted like rotten eggs with vinegar. We had tons of lettuce a slice of celery, literally, a slice of tomato literally and a slice of carrot stick and I am not exaggerating. Back to the burger steak. It was obvious it was a frozen burger patty as it had a rubber consistency. The only thing good was the fries and the chicken tenders. The corn that come with the meal had absolutely no taste, no butter no nothing. Our waitress came back to ask about our food, I was eating so my husband responded. She then looks at me and says and I quote, "yes ma'am I was taught to ask people about their food while their mouth is full." I had not said anything out of the way to this woman and quite frankly my husband and I looked like we had been smacked. Do not entertain this establishment unless all you want is chicken tenders and fries. And don't bother with the honey mustard sauce. It also tastes quite sour.. I apologize but I can never honestly recommend this establishment unless they learn to cook and get rid of the waitress who doesn't seem to care if she gets a tip. We left one but not our...
