The Colonel Venue and Cigar Lounge — Restaurant in Cody

My family of 5 was referred here by Trail Head pizza being busy. They have the same menu, & are attached. The server was very nice but she was the only server and was doing her best. We ordered 5 meals. After an 1 1/2 hrs, only 2 of our 5 meals finally arrived even after the server had checked several times. Also two family's that came after us were served their food and finished their meals. We finally had to cancel the rest of our order after close to two hours, with only two ppl in my family getting to eat dinner. This is in no way a reflection of our sever, she was awesome and extremely apologetic. Unfortunate that we had to walk away hungry, and were left with no time to get dinner somewhere else due to our timeline. When people ordered drinks that were sitting at table that had to go to bar to order were left standing there while they would take care or people sitting at bar first even though they gave theirb order first when I asked about taking care of the people that have been waiting I I was told to pay my tab and get out,I paid my tab which most likely would have been about 4 to 5 times the amount of the tab not including the tip even the people around couldn’t understand what that kid did. I do not recommend the Colonial to anybody that expects good service and by the way seeing i was a Vietnam Vet maybe that 'what provoked him to tell me to leave so I take it if your a veteran or probably in the military you are probably not...

So many good things to say about this bar! Drinks are delicious and reasonably priced, but the big draw is the music. The musicians here are always talented and top notch and you can experience a variety of genres, which for an area where country music dominates, is refreshing when you want to mix it up. Bartender is friendly and fast, and the place is CLEAN which is a big win in my book. Not pretentious but also not trashy, the Goldilocks approval...
