★★★☆☆ Food quality ★★★★★ Service ★★★★☆ Ambiance ★★★★★ Value ★★★★★ Menu selection ★★★★★ Location/Accessibility ★★★☆☆ Overall experience On a lazy Monday afternoon, I decided to check out the new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill restaurant that recently opened up just a few steps from my place. I was eager to try out their menu, so I placed an online order before heading over to the restaurant. When I arrived, I was greeted by a long line of cars in the drive-thru lane, so I chose to dine in instead. As I entered the restaurant, I immediately noticed a line of people waiting at the counter. The restaurant itself was quite spacious, with a bright and inviting atmosphere, thanks to its ample lighting and colorful decor. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the furniture and walls, with some staff even cleaning throughout my entire visit. Additionally, there were some really nice wall art pieces and stylish hanging lamps that added a touch of sophistication to the space. Restrooms were located in one corner of the restaurant. While there was no music playing, the sound of blenders making shakes could be heard throughout the visit, which became a bit of a nuisance after a while. For my meal, I ordered the Fish Sandwich, which consisted of a fried pollock fillet, white buns, onion rings, a slice of tomato, pickles, and mayo ketchup sauce, along with a side of small fries and a small Cotton Candy Blizzard® Treat. The wait time for my meal was not long, and before handing over my order, the male staff member did a neat trick by flipping the Blizzard® Treat cup upside down, just like the picture in the menu! I found it amusing and couldn't help but say, "Cool!" as I then retrieved my bag of food and headed to a table. When I opened the bag, the food was warm and freshly cooked, with no distinct odor other than the generic scent of oil. However, the burger itself was a bit messy, as the pollock fillet did not fit between the two buns, making it difficult to take the first bite. The onion and pickles kept falling out of the sandwich, so I took a bite of just the fillet to sample it on its own. The fillet was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and tasted fresh, but it lacked flavor and seasoning. With a bit of shaping, I managed to make the burger work as a whole, and it tasted good thanks to the other ingredients that balanced out the blandness of the fish. On the other hand, the fries were not cooked well, with dry skin that seemed to indicate they were recooked several times. However, a little bit of ketchup helped to improve the taste. After finishing the burger and fries, I tried the Cotton Candy Blizzard® Treat, which tasted a lot like the ice cream I used to buy from Kroger, except with added crunchy toppings. However, the treat was overly sweet for my taste, causing me to feel cringy with each bite and leaving my throat dry. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish the cup, and it had melted by this point. The restaurant had a handful of staff members, most of whom were stationed in the cooking area. I saw four employees, including a woman who appeared to be the manager, behind the counter, with two more employees cleaning up. I could tell that some were in training, as I overheard the manager giving instructions in a patient and encouraging tone. I found their demeanor refreshing, and while they talked loudly, they weren't aggressive in any way. Some even had a "sassy" tone, which I found amusing. When it came to the food, I have to say that it definitely matched the price - cheap and not particularly high quality. Unfortunately, after finishing my meal, I experienced a serious stomachache, and while I'm not sure if the meal was the direct cause, I can't rule it out as a factor. That being said, the menu itself was impressive, with a wide range of items to choose from. However, after my experience, I now have some doubts about the quality of the ingredients. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, just be mindful of what you order, especially if you're looking for a...
Read moreWalked in and I knew they were busy. Two other people were in front of me, but they were door dash orders. The cashier, spoke to a dasher and didn’t say anything to another and didn’t even LOOK my way. She walked past me and the cash register several times, each time completely ignoring me. She came back and spoke to another dasher who came in at the same time as I did. She still didn’t acknowledge that I was there. Again I understand they were busy, nice day everyone wanted ice cream. I finally said “Excuse me, I’ve been standing here for about 5 minutes and no one has acknowledged I was standing here, no I’ll be right with you nothing.” So the older woman who had walked past me several times comes over and asks for my order and then says it’s “ON THE HOUSE FOR THE WAIT.” Mind you I didn’t come in there for free ice cream, but I said ok thank you. It takes a few minutes to get my order and I knew something was off. There was a young girl also helping out. She hesitates to placed my blizzard on I guess what’s a really cold surface and then hands it to me. She doesn’t flip it. I don’t want to cause a scene so I say thank you and leave. I notice that the blizzard is already melting, it looked like the “on the house” blizzard was sitting for time and they just gave it to me. So I turn around and take it back. Tell the younger cashier and the old one that they gave me a melted blizzard. Placed it on the counter...

He called earlier and was told they do not have inline applications only paper. the store was still open the inside was closed and locked but the drive thru was still open. I encouraged my son to smile and still ask for a application while we were in drive through. One of the young girls grabbed the manager at the window and the gm Tracey came to the window with an attitude. My son asked “can I get a job application please” she looked at my son like was offended that he asked and said “no” and started to close the window!!!!!! He shockingly asked why and she stood there for a moment and replied “we don’t give those through drive through” and closed the window. She looked at my son and judge him and didn’t even had a reason just made up one. She took to long to give a reason after being asked why and was extremely nasty like she hated her job. This will be the last time we attend this dq or any for that matter. I’m disgusted...
