LaRosa's Pizza Colerain — Restaurant in Colerain Township

Lived in Cincinnati for a few years a few years ago and LaRosa's was our goto pizza place for a long time. Did an order out at this location on my way out of town to take some nostalgia with me. Very surprising evening

The Pizza: same good ingredients, but I think they made the wrong crust the pizza was more of their original style crust than the hand tossed we had ordered. The sauce was not distributed or too little used and there were slices that didn't have any sauce on them under the cheese (we ordered regular sauce). It tasted OK, but I remember really liking this pizza before.

The Service: most awkward food pick up I've ever had and got to witness someone being fired. Took a few minutes for anyone to realize there was someone waiting at the counter, which was understandable since it was Thanksgiving weekend. However, it wasn't until a youngman walked in a few minutes after me and walked to the side of the counter to get someones attention. The way the staff walked out, I thought the young man a friend of someone who worked there, but another guy walked out from the back (maybe a manager, seemed like he had authority?), completely ignored me at the counter and proceeded to inform the youngman that he was a no call-no show and was no longer employed there. After a minute or two of being in this really awkward spot (mind you I was still standing at the counter in front of the register while this guy was standing off to the side completely out of line), I finally broke in saying "Excuse me, but I am not with this guy, am just here to pick up an order, and was actually here first." Then we proceeded with the transaction and I got out of there as fast as possible cause I had already been waiting for someone at the front for a few minutes and it was really uncomfortable.

Overall: Disappointed with the pizza and super weird service. May try LaRosa's again at a different location to see if my memory of it was just wrong, but avoiding this location...

After a day of shopping in the Cincy area we stopped here for dinner on our way home. We of course arrived during dinner time so there was a bit of a wait to get a table. We were just a party of two so really any table would have worked for us.

After maybe a 20 minute wait we finally got a table. What I noticed during the wait was that there were actually tables available but for some reason they weren't seating people at those tables. Maybe it was to stagger people out so that the wait staff and kitchen don't get overwhelmed?

Once seated we began to look over the menu. Our server came over but seemed very frazzled. She took our drink order and then disappeared. We would watch her walk by with other peoples drinks/food but not with ours. This is how the service was the remainder of the evening. When she would come back she would give some excuse as to what was taking her so long. I am a very understanding person and a simple "I'm so sorry" would go a long way. But she never said she was sorry. Just that it was someone elses fault.

When we finally placed (and received) our order I was much happier. Being hungry and having bad service and long waits isn't always easy. But the pizza was just as good as I remembered. Years ago I did some training in the Colerain area and was introduced to LaRosa's then. I always enjoyed it so when it came time for dinner this was a no brainer.

The restaurant was clean as well as the restroom. My biggest complaint was the service. It was bad. I mean down right bad. But even with the bad service I would be willing to give them another shot. Maybe she was having a bad night...or maybe they were understaffed and she was overworked? Who knows...but the end result is I liked the pizza enough to perhaps endure...

This was my first time at this location. It felt a little tight and cramped, very looooong and narrow store. We were seated quickly, young person, I think it was a male, was up front quick, was very quiet and meeker. No one acknowledged us for 13 minutes. My limit is 15 minutes, was preparing to leave when the server finally came up. She was a a young female black lady, again, very quiet and meeker, hard to hear and understand. Did an o k job. Never took a dirty dish away but asked twice if I was ready to pay the bill. The food was very good, no complaints with that. I would go back, everyone has to learn and has a bad day, including me! Thank you. 042223 update. Ate here today. Seated quickly, Hailey L was our server, did a great job. Food was very good. Got a pitcher of beer, it was flat. Oh well. Will be back again! 010924 stopped in to use the 25% off pizza offer. Really wanted a pitcher of draft Mich Ultra......they were out. Just my luck. Got a meat lovers pizza. It was good. Our server, Claire Marie, was very new but did a great job. She will do just fine at this job. 042624 Ashley was our server. We were seated quickly, they had mich ultra on tap, food was hot & fresh, kitchen was busy but no problem, we weren't in a hurry & still came out on a very reasonable amount of time.
