I have frequented Drip-Thru Coffee on many occasions since 2019. I have to mention how disappointed I am with my latest visit when I attempted to use my earned reward points to purchase a Pistachio Latte. My order totaled $5.37 and once the points were credited, the balance was $.37 cent. I presented my bank card. I was promptly told to pay cash for the balance by the mature lady attendant. Caught off guard, I immediately searched my purse and every compartment in my vehicle to try to find the $.37 cent. While I was searching, the latte was being prepared. I was able to find $.12 in my vehicle and told the attendant that I was short the balance. I gave her the $.12 cent. She then promptly suggested that I did not use my points for the purchase and pay full price for the coffee as it would assure they keep their prices low for their other customers. I then told her that I would go home and get the balance of the coin change which was $.23 cents and bring it back to her. I also mentioned that most likely I would not be frequenting their location in the future. The attendant all of a sudden insisted that it was Okay not to pay the balance and handed me the latte. At this point it became a matter of principle for me, as I did have payment to present to them via my bank card; however, had I visited any other coffee shop, I’m sure payment of the balance would not have been a problem. I then left the Drip-Thru Coffee location, went home to my residence, and gathered the remaining balance of $.23 cents and took it back to the attendant at Drip-Thru Coffee and paid the balance. Unfortunately, the latte had to returned to to be remade as it was entirely too sweet, which I inquired and made specific requests before it was prepared. The suggestion was made to add another shot of expresso to cut the sweetness, which was just plain ridiculous. I’m very...
Read moreI will start with the matcha is delicious. I was going to drip thru faithfully since they opened. Although I went about three times a week I was still not known by name, which is little annoying, although not a deal breaker. It’s just that I appreciate those type of personal touches when patronizing a small business. A couple of weeks ago I had a question about the cost of my matcha that the young lady at the window couldn’t answer. Instead of one of the more seasoned workers coming to the window to help they ignored me to the point where I asked for a refund and left. What’s so crazy is I would still be a faithful customer if they would’ve just come and given me a minute of their time…even if they didn’t change the cost of the drink. But they chose to ignore me and have lost a faithful customer. This was my experience and I don’t think this is a common occurrence. I just hope you all don’t take other faithful customers for granted. Take care.
Updated- your response is exactly why I won’t be coming back. If someone had come to the window to talk to me I would have told them that you all gave me a discount last year because I don’t drink coffee. Maybe you all wouldn’t have discounted this year because hey things change but I at least should have been given the common courtesy of a 1 minute conversation. I felt ignored and discarded as a customer so it’s less about the money and the fact that no one would even come to the window. Also Matcha is not cheap so I spent a good amount of money with you all. Last thing I will say is I still had points that I earned because I came so often so yes they...
Read moreThis used to be our go-to, with consistently excellent service and excellent coffee. In the last few months they've hired some new staff (particularly the young white male(s?)) and it's gone drastically down hill. Twice when my partner brought my coffee drink home it was inedible and got poured down the drain. And the lack of warmth/customer service, when I've gone myself is a STARK CONTRAST to how it use to be. So disappointing :(
EDIT after company’s reply: This review IS about your drive thru. I have been a regular customer since moving to the area 3 years ago. This is not a “random 2 star review”. Firstly, I have never once, in countless visits, been encouraged to taste my coffee before pulling away so that’s interesting that you say that… Secondly, is someone who is picking up coffee for me (as was the case in my two incidents where the coffee was in one instance SO bitter it was inedible, and in the other instance so much almond milk and syrup that I couldn’t taste the espresso at all) supposed to taste MY drink before pulling away? I hope that’s not what you’re suggesting is necessary for quality control of your products! And for context about (who I thought was a white male, and I’m sorry if I’ve misidentified them) the less than satisfactory customer service and overly sweetened overly milked drink I received from this particular worker was most recently last Tuesday 3/25 if that helps you identify the worker in order to...
