Today was my first time ever to try Fajita Pete’s I’ve heard great things about it previously and it definitely hit the mark today for me as well! I was going to order by app, but landed at the store sooner than expected, so I walked in to place my order. (They also had the option of a walk up window). I was greeted immediately with a smile and an open door by Alyssa, along with three other very friendly gentlemen, Todd, Chris, and I didn’t catch the other name.
I’m a pretty picky foodie, but as I was placing my order for floutas and quesadillas, I was handed a sample of beef and chicken fajitas and they were hot, tender, juicy, flavorful, and delicious! I was also offered a frozen margarita sample as well and those definitely tasted like a great idea but I needed to be productive in the afternoon, so I opted not to take any home for this visit.
The floutas were hot and crisp, chicken was tasty, and rice and beans were tasty as well. The quesadillas were delicious with the right amount of chicken, beef, and cheese. I was happy to discover the guacamole served with the meals was not cilantro heavy, however the queso was, and sadly I’m just not a cilantro fan. Loved the chips though, crispy and thin, and the salsa was simple with a slight kick.
I’m a new fan of Fajita Pete’s and i’ll definitely be back! Welcome to...
Read moreReview from an Ex-General Manager of a different Mexican restaurant (out of town): Beef and Chicken flavor is very good. Refried Beans are also very good. Rice is mediocre. Queso needs a lot more flavor. They should provide at least 3 tortillas per order. We only received 4 tortillas for a 2 person order. Every Mexican restaurant provides at least 3 tortillas per order. 2 per order is cheap and begs people to order more ala carte, increasing the price. Like when an unethical airline sells you a cheap flight and then charges you for bag fees, seat fees, etc. When I provided this feedback I was told "We do have more tortillas available in packs of 4." BINGO! Go to any Mexican restaurant, Tio Carlos, Hacienda Ranch, Papasito's and they will first provide at least 3-4 tortillas per person and then NOT charge you for more. Although their flavor is good, I will never utilize their establishment again due to this single fact. It is cheap...
Read moreFirst time at Fajita Pete’s overall not a bad experience I’d say 3.5 stars but chose to round up for service. Let’s break down the Fajita Trio, price isn’t bad for what you get. Chips were very good restaurant style thin and fresh. Queso was good not too thin plenty of flavor. Salsa was thin, runny and lacking flavor. Flour tortillas were fresh but firmed up within seconds and became tough and chewy, not good. Rice and refried beans are what you’d expect honestly, run of the mill. Now to the protein; chicken, beef and shrimp. Each one had good flavor, all the same flavor with copious lime juice but still pleasing. However, the chicken was very dry the moisture it did retain was from being drenched in the lime juice. Maybe I got a bad batch but the beef was terrible, very chewy and gristle galore. The only savior was the shrimp, good size, good flavor and tender. I’ll come back for the shrimp but I’ll try the corn...
