This afternoon, I had lunch with some coworkers and my 3 year old autistic son. When we got there, they were in the midst of changing the oil in fryers, which we didn’t mind waiting, I was just keeping my son entertained in the meantime. Our waitress, Ms. Courtney, was so precious, and saw I was struggling trying to keep him entertained, so she hunted for crayons, and brought him stuff to color with. Then she magically appeared with a Leapfrog book (ironically we have the same one lol), and omg what a saint she was. She told me that if he wanted to run around, that he could since hardly anyone was there at the time, and though I didn’t feel up to chasing him around(if you’re a mom, you know lol), it was incredibly kind of her!!!
Next thing I know, Mr. Joel brings him a slice of homemade Oreo pie and let me tell you, this baby lived his BEST life! He also brought napkins, a damp towel (clean towel of course), and then some wet wipes to clean him up with lol. My son wasted no time inhaling that pie 😂! I made sure to thank both of them like 20 million times, and as we’re getting ready to leave, Mr. Joel gets my attention, takes this guitar off the wall, and says “This is a Kenny Chesney guitar, let the baby get a picture with it!”, and so we did! Like, how cool of an opportunity!
Today was first time I’ve gone to a restaurant with my son alone, and felt so accommodated, loved, helped, and seen as a mother. Mr. Joel & Ms. Courtney made my entire day! 🫶🏻🥹 You don’t find that genuine level of customer service anywhere anymore, and to find it here so unexpectedly, I’m blown away! Forever a favorite restaurant of mine now, and best believe...

In case a few of you happen to be connoisseurs of unintentional disaster: This bar is an impressive reflection of Memphis at its worst: small-time arrogance, awkward incestuousness, and crippling insecurity.
I walked in hoping to find a welcoming place. Instead, I found a side-eyeing Confederacy of Dunces basking in a neon glow.
Despite warnings from everyone else, I had no other options. I just needed to blow off some steam. But honestly? Everyone was right. This place is trash.
Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t waste another second thinking about the sadness that is Rock Live in Collierville, except that I happened to be there at a terrible moment in my life.
Burgeoning psychiatrists may find this place interesting—maybe even a challenge - but in any other light, this collection of wounded individuals is just a night ruining tragedy.
In short. If you want to know if a bar is fun, inviting, has decent food or drinks, creates energy, makes you glad you showed up; This place does none of those things. In fact, it defines the opposite of those things.
In conclusion, life is short — but if it lasted 10,000 years — one night would...

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: JD, the cook. I’ve had my fair share of bar food, but JD elevates it to a whole new level. Every dish he prepares is a masterpiece, showcasing not just skill but a true passion for food. Whether it’s the classic wings, loaded nachos, or his signature burger, each bite is bursting with flavor and creativity. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every meal.
JD is hands down the best cook I’ve ever encountered at a bar, and it’s clear that he takes pride in his work. If you’re looking for a place where the food is just as exciting as the atmosphere, The Orleans is the spot! I can’t recommend it enough—make sure to stop by and experience JD’s culinary magic...
