Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Colonial Heights

UPDATE: The manager contacted me via email and gave our family a $60 credit to come back and give them another try. This time the steaks were seasoned and juicy. The house salad was still just as great as last time. The only issue we had were the wings came out with no hot sauce again, but when we asked for some they had no issue bringing some to the car. The meals tonight were all good overall, and I’m glad Katie prompted us to give them another chance.

Steaks were unseasoned and barely warm 2 bites later they were trashed, hot wings came with NO sauce at all so they were basically fried naked plain wings but had potential if they had the sauce , baked potatoes were supposed to have bacon, cheese, butter and chives but ONLY came with a side of cheese and butter. I will say the house salad and the bread was good, but not worth the $51 we spent 😕 was offered to come back so they could cook it again but after waiting in the car for 25 mins and driving another 15 mins home I wasn’t looking to go back and wait again. Service is not like it used to be in the restaurant industry. It was OK it wasn't great either. However they had to bring me a steak the 2nd time. It was better looking than the 1st one at least it tasted. OK. I just think that service is not like it used to be and it takes too long for them to recook another steak. We've come by a few times since we moved to the area. Service is always good, but the quality of food and portions seem to have declined rapidly, and it's no longer worth the costs. We spent close to $90 for 2 of us. Ie we're used to say the aussie fries appetizer taking up most of the plate, to be sharable for the whole table. This last time we got it, it was a single handful of fries with little toppings. Like literally what a hand could grab as though it were a side dish size. We were really disappointed but continued. For dessert, we ordered the Tim Tam sundae and were brought some cake thing, which we know now to be the brownie and not the sundae. When we brought it to the attention of our waitress, it was pretty much passed off as correct, which again we also know now not to be. I just don't think we will be back again. It's not justifiable. Last time we came, the bloomin' onion was hard on the outer layers as though the exterior that should have been removed was fried, and the rest was just coated in oil as though it were drained.
