First time stopping by here for lunch. Probably a half-step above your average fast food shop, but standard fare, otherwise. I don't eat a lot of fast food, so perhaps my expectations haven't been blunted (yet) by repeated experience.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was awful, though. Ordering to dine-in was as expected, and I enjoyed the friendly service. After I sat down, however, two employees decided to try and one-up each other with profanity while on break in the dining area. I'm fairly thick-skinned, but I was pretty bothered by it. Partly because it was distracting, but, mostly because it was so disappointing. The sheer ambivalence and disregard for the impact on those around them was staggering. Add to the mix that this is a regular spot for families with young children, and that makes it worse.
It wasn't just the two employees on break, there were several other employees who were WAY too loud, with the same poor choices regarding language. The easily overheard conversations were both inappropriate and loathsome. Again, not having the presence of mind to be aware of how your conduct affects other people, particulary in public, is malignant in our day-to-day, it seems, now.
I don't expect a white-tablecloth experience at a place like Culver's, but I do expect it to be clean, cordial, and appropriate.
I sent a note through the website indicating much of what is said above. I did get a pretty quick response apologizing with an offer for some coupons to atone. I thanked them for making the offer, but politely refused.
If I ever go back, unlikely with so many alternatives, it will be...
Read moreThe food was delicious! It was my boyfriend's and my first time at a Culver's while visiting Colorado Springs.
Jessica took our order and when I asked how she was doing she said that she was tired. I have no issue with someone being honest in their feelings cause that's why I asked lol. The only thing was that she seemed visually and vocally annoyed that I was taking a little bit of time trying to figure out how to order. I don't know if her annoyance is because of the atmosphere that management creates, because of the customers treatment, or if she in general is being asked too much for her to handle compared to her crew. Either way it goes, I hope that management can help her on these kinds of days so a future customer doesn't take her feelings the wrong way.
Again, the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and I liked that we could build our own burger. My boyfriend and I got the butterburger with cheese. The crinkle cut fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had a chocolate malt and it tastes very chocolatey, not like those malts where they just take vanilla and put a lil bit of chocolate syrup in it. I think Yesi was the name of the woman who brought our food. She was very sweet and smiley. She asked if we needed anything else and I appreciated the extra care she offered us. She was very friendly, sweet, and personable. She's a great face for your location.
Thank you for the service and we would definitely come again to this location in the future when we...
Read moreAfter ordering food for our family of 5 to eat in the restaurant, we watched cars come and go in the drive thru as the employees couldn't figure out which food went to which car, which shakes/ice cream went with which food, coming in and out in chaos. We patiently waited for TWENTY FIVE minutes before we gave up waiting and went to check on our food. It was still not ready for us, and the counter employee was shocked we hadn't gotten our food yet. A few minutes later, our food arrived, but my husband quickly realized that he had some cold, kids meal type burger instead of his double bacon burger. I took it up to the counter and was told they would remake his food and give us a certificate of some kind for our issues that evening. His food arrived, no apology or certificate of any kind accompanied it. The kids wanted their custard, and even though we were more than ready to leave after being there for an hour, we let the kids order their single scoops. These also took way too long, about ten minutes! When they arrived, it was dropped off with a "more free food" comment, as it was the same person who brought out the replacement burger. The burger was a fix to their mistake and the kid's scoops came with their meals. To be clear, this food was NOT FREE. One employee was kind and apologetic, the rest were dismissive and down right rude at times. The disorganization and poor customer service was definitely NOT what the brand is known for and we won't be back to...
