I've ordered from Dominos many times in the past. There is rarely an issue, but when one does occasionally come up, I've always been able to call, explain the problem, and have a correct pizza redelivered.
Last night, I ordered a pizza for delivery, and when it arrived, the dough was completely raw except for the very bottom. But the real frustration occurred when I called to let them know. I spoke with a manager, Anthony, and he immediately implied that I wasn't telling the truth. Anthony said that all the pizzas were temp checked after cooking, and that no other pizza had been undercooked that day, so they wouldn't be willing to send out another pizza unless I paid the delivery fee again.
I said that was unacceptable, since I had already paid a delivery fee but had not yet been delivered an acceptable pizza. I was told that unless they can see the pizza to confirm it was undercooked, they couldn't do anything for me, and I'd have to just bring it in.
I'm a disabled Vet, I don't own a vehicle, but I was able to get a ride to their store, where a different manager worked with me and confirmed that the pizza was completely undercooked. That manager (name unknown) was able to refund me and quickly had another pizza made, but I can't say that really makes up for having another manager imply I'm a liar and force me to find a ride just to fix a mistake that their store made.
I asked repeatedly to speak with Anthony, and when he finally came out, I was told that it was store policy, there was nothing else he could have done, and that people lie for free food a lot. This makes little sense to me, as the small number of times issues like this have happened before, Dominos has always just made things right with no hassle. Secondly, I order online. I have a Dominos profile. It should be relatively simply to just check and see that I'm a regular paying customer who isn't asking for free comps every other order. I was also surprised, now that I had proven my story by bringing in the pizza, that Anthony only seemed interested in defending his actions. No apology was made for implying I was lying or forcing me to come in to the store.
All in all, this was a shockingly bad customer experience from start to finish. While I've certainly received poor service from businesses on occasion, I believe this is the first time a business has ever been openly confrontational with me. It was beyond surreal sitting at home with a box of uncooked dough and being told I couldn't get my pizza remade because my story "didn't add up".
If people like Anthony are the ones being put into leadership positions here, I highly recommend finding a different Dominos, as there are certainly better options within a few...
Read more99.5% of the time I'm happy with overall quality of this locations food, service and location.
I live less than one mile down the street which makes it carry-out ideal, and delivery quick. It's a newer location which is really awesome because the other Domino's location which used to deliver here was old, low quality (under-cooking, 40+ minute delivery) and full of extremely judgementally rude workers. When I moved here I wanted Domino's and I live on a road that has the name "St. Elmo" in it. So I go to call in an order and when the worker asked what the address was, he did not believe me! He asked me "Are you serious, Elmo?" Then after a childish scoff he hung up. I called back and let's just say what was said about his character was only because I was heated... enough to actually cease being a customer to Domino's altogether.
Instead I relied on it's chief competition even though I would have preferred otherwise. It was over a year before I gave them a chance again, when they opened the Nevada Ave location.
Now I put it even the best workers, best customer service etc can't be 100% fully on-point and perfect day after day. A coin that keeps landing on heads will eventually land on tails. It's easy to give passes when you walk in their shoes, making thousands of pizzas a week. They call it Murphy's law: "if it can go wrong, it will go wrong"
When rating a business it comes down to the basics: admitting responsibility for mistake, amending mistakes, how frequently mistakes are made and the severity of made mistakes. This location has a good track record with me and have only minutely flubbed on 3 or 4 orders. The worst time was actually amusingly ridiculous: I ordered a medium extra cheese pizza with mushrooms, olives and pepperoni and it showed up with no cheese! It had the sauce and toppings and must have been seen as unusual to the staff through the inspection/boxing... How exactly did they screw that one up!? Well anyway I used my own mozzarella so I never asked for reimbursement I wasn't angry as much as stupefied!
There were also a few times I've had 20oz soda come instead of the ordered 2L size, and also certain desserts have come without the included icing cup (normally 50c addon).
I think since 99.5% of all times their quality has satisfied me over several years is more than enough positive XP to deserve 5 stars. Overall I'm really happy with this location, and I hope that it manages to retain that over the next...
Read moreI order from Domino's on Nevada Avenue at least twice a week because I am an adjuster and we said a hotel that's close by. We don't have ovens or stoves to cook home so Domino's is our go-to place. I came here Sunday 8 5 2018 and a group of teenagers just looked at me and laughed at me while I was waiting to place an order. I explain to one of the people that finally came to me after about 10 minutes and said hey man you know I'm trying to order some food he said there's a doorbell all you had to do is ringgit. I said man you got saw me standing here. Needless to say this will be the last time I shop at any Domino's Pizza. This one group of unappreciative teenagers have has ruined it for everyone in my company that travels with me. If I was a franchise owner then I will probably take a look into my staff and the way they treat the customers. You don't invest in a Domino's franchise to lose money well my friend you and other franchise owners have lost about 6 people's business I'm sure it's not a lot to you guys however I know in the future I will never be treated this way again because I won't allow you to do it! Up until tonight the staff has been great. There is a guy that's almost 7ft talk that is hella cool. I always tip over %20 even though we carry out. These teenagers now days need a help and their parents who raised then and allowed their substandard behavior need an a@$ wooping! Good luck...
