Edit: Contacted the store and spoke to their manager Jen, and they rectified my issues. (see below for previous review.) We got lighter sauce this time, due to our previous problems with said pizza. We also tried the "Fugedabodit" pizza (minus the black olives and mushrooms 🤷🏻♀️) per recommendation by Jen. She was extremely helpful, and understanding, and also threw in garlic knots and their cannoli's for us to try this time around as well. The garlic knots were a little strong on garlic (but I LOVE garlic, so they were awesome- but I know some people are very sensitive to it.) Everything was AMAZING this time around!!! I couldn't even believe this was honestly even the same place that we ate at the other day!!!! Leaving the review at 4 stars, based on previous experience- but if it was JUST based on this experience it would have been 5 stars. Jen was so amazing in helping get this issue resolved, she also PERSONALLY hand delivered our order to us- and to me that is what made the experience MUCH BETTER. I was honestly hesitant at first about even giving them another shot, due to our experience two days ago.... but after this I am SO MUCH more willing to spend my money there, and try new things! I am looking forward to trying out other menu items, but will probably be making sure Jen is there when I order. I am so glad I reached out to them, and gave them a second shot and moving forward will be recommending them to lots of people! And, I can continue rocking their swag, which makes me so happy! Thank you Joey's pizza, for working with us to resolve our issues and allowing us to see why people think you guys are the best in town! Also, thank you for hiring propper management who are willing, as well as patient enough to correct issues that need to be addressed! We look forward to giving you more business in the future! LEGALIZE MARINARA!
Precious: Literally went out of my way to write this review, and try their pizza. I have one of theirs hoodies I got from a friend a long time ago, and people CONSTANTLY ask me how it is. Up until today, I would always say "I honestly dont know." Well, now I know. We went with a basic cheese since it was our first time trying it, also got the garlic mozz cheesey bread. The cheesey bread was the best part, and it was burnt and kinda hard (probably because burnt) but it wasn't bad... not to mention it was still warm. The pizza on the other hand, was cold when we picked it up- the girl said "careful the bottom of that is hot" when she handed it to us... but the box was barely even warm. When we got home to eat it (about 5-7 minutes away) it was COLD! The crust was the best part, but there was WAY TOO MUCH sauce on it, and it tasted like plastic! I ended up having to wipe it off and just eat JUST the crust because it tasted so bad like plastic. Needless to say, we were pretty disappointed for the fact that we spent almost $22 on two items and they weren't even good. I have been wearing their hoodie for like I think about four years now, and when people would ask i would say i honestly havent tried it, but would give them the location and tell them to check it out anyway. Unfortunately, I probably will never try their pizza again, and probably won't rep the hoodie anymore either. Very disappointed, wanted to try other things on their menu some other time... but after this experience I probably won't be wasting my gas,...
Read moreJoey's makes great pizza and great wings, as long as you get what you ordered.
I ordered twice within the last month, the first online and the second a call-in. After placing my first order I received an email saying the wait would be about 20 minutes. After about 20 minutes I headed to their store to pick up my order. When I arrived, it was not ready and I was told it would be out soon, but I imagine it had not made yet because I was subjected to another 20 minute wait in their restaurant. This wait gave me another opportunity to see their service in action:
A man arrived and stated that the wrong order was delivered to his home, for which the staff apologized and promptly began remaking his order at no cost. Shortly thereafter another man arrived saying he had the wrong order delivered to his home as well and that he would prefer a refund. The second man made a small scene, but the owner took care of the issue and the man was on his way. Turns out, the second man's order was what the first recieved and likewise the first to the second. Upon realizing this the staff offerd the first man his original order, which had already been DELIVERED to the wrong home and brought in. BIG no-no. The man turned down the offer and waited for his fresh order to be remade. Both our orders finished around the same time, and so we headed out. Pizza was great, wings were great, and I figured I chocked up the poor service as a one-off.
A week later I make a call-in order, same 20 minute wait. Again, drove over after about 20 minutes and lo it was ready when I arrived. When I got home I realized half of my ~$40 order was wrong. Not wanting to wait or waste what was honestly good food, I made due and used what I had at home to make it work. But it got me thinking about the price of their product compared to other small pizzerias nearby with which I've had experience. Turns out Joey's is pretty darn pricy (and I'm not the only reviewer who thinks so), and I'm willing to drive an additional 10 minutes away to get a product of equal quality but with superior service at a...
Read moreI normally don't like leaving bad reviews. If my experience was poor enough, I will leave one. I am a DoorDash delivery driver. I have done this for over 2 years now. I typically receive prompt and professional service. However, Joey's Pizza does not fall into that category. I picked up one order from them previously. It was a single order with a minimal amount of items. I arrived on time. I sat and waited to be greeted for a few minutes. I told them that I was here for an order. The employee told me that it wasn't ready yet. It seemed that they hadn't even started that order yet and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes until completion. They weren't even busy. The employees seemed to be more concerned about their conversations than about fulfilling orders. Two weeks later I received a double order for Joey's Pizza for two separate customers. Again, I arrived on time, only to be told that it wasn't ready yet. What a surprise! There were more items on these orders than my first order. Yet, they weren't busy. Again, I watched as the employees would rather chat it up than fulfill orders in a timely manner. I waited for 10 minutes when another employee asked me what I was waiting for. I told him. He never came back to inform me about anything. He then clocked out and left. After waiting for 20 minutes, my patience had run out and I was forced to cancel the order. What a waste of my time and gas! Now, both of those customers will be delayed even further. It's unbelievable to me how a business can posses a total disregard for delivery drivers and their customers. I mean, we're only helping them to expand their business. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Needless to say, that was the second time that I have went to Joey's Pizza for delivery and that will be the last time. Again, I have had great experiences with multiple business. However, Joey's Pizza is not one of them. As a result of my extremely poor experiences here, I will never go back nor recommend this...
