Since I am unable to review stores individually I will update this post as I learn more.
The Good: It is a mall situated in a good area with lots of amenities nearby. The food court isn't just the traditional fast food restaurants everywhere. Chick-fil-A is the only mainstream restaurant I remember seeing there. Has several kid friendly establishments/ environments There is an AMC Movie Theatre here as well. The Dillard's and HM have pretty good selections for business and business casual-esque outfits for men.
The Bad: The bathrooms are not very inviting, at least not to me as a guy, though it is clean in the mornings Though, it is a mall it is a bit lacking in store selection, that I am used to from malls in other states. You may not find the best deals here but they do have better quality products than their clearance stores Dilliards is still confusing to find a rep, but it's to be expected at this point.š
The Ugly: I know different cultures equate to different community atmospheres, so Customer Service is lacking in several stores, but this is compared to other regions that I have been to. Even if Service lacks some quality there will always be those that take it to the next level.
Lavelier is a skin care store inside this mall that has taken poor customer service to another level.
I approached the attendant to ask a few questions about the store, to which, I was given very, 'go away' -esque vibes.
I asked if there was a problem, and was informed that English is not their first language, but that did not excuse the attitude and I expressed that to them.
I spoke with their supervisor ready to put the matter behind me as a simple mistake, but the supervisor also refused to give a different attitude.
It was not until I took a photo of their store front, picture will be uploaded as well, that their demeanor changed to be more amiable.
They inquired about the photo so I told them I would leave a review and they immediately tried to change their tone.
I explained my review would be unbiased and transparent, to which the manager I assume explained in their native language to his employee.
Overall I don't like when establishments are rude and still expect you to spend your money with them, this is not a store I personally would support due to my poor experience here.
More will be updated as I experience the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve tried to be an advocate for the Chapel Hills Mall for years now, because I think it would be nice for our community to have a thriving mall. However, after my visit today, I donāt plan to go back anytime soon.
It was raining today and I thought Iād take my toddler to the indoor play area. We parked on the 2nd floor, and the main elevator was closed to get to the 1st floor where the play area is. I have my son in a stroller so I needed an elevator. So I walked all the way to Macyās to see if they had an elevator there. They do, but it was unpleasant because Macyās clearly either isnāt running their AC, or has a major AC problem. There was a big temperature difference between Macyās and the regular mall, and honestly Iām surprised Macyās corporate is OK with one of their stores being that uncomfortable feeling inside.
In the play area, the carept looks dirty, and I felt some water leak on me from the ceiling while I was there. That has to create a potential gross mold situation on the play area carpet. I also noticed there were rainwater catching buckets scattered throughout the mall, so leaks must be a problem on a rainy day.
I had been excited for the Jungle Reef Aquarium to open at Chapel Hills, but the sign says āopening summer 2025ā and thereās no sign or news of it actually opening anytime soon. I took a peak through the window there a few weeks ago and it looked like work on the aquarium had barely begun. Is the aquarium still happening? Or is the sign being left up just another example of how abandoned this mall feels?
Iām pregnant and overall had a really uncomfortable experience here today between the elevators being closed, the air conditioning problems, and the water leaking in the play area. It was just not comfortable for me as a pregnant mom with a toddler, and Iām not planning on coming back anytime soon.
This mall had/has potential, but itās pretty clear at this point that the owners donāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor the last 5 years, my wife and I went to the mall at 6 to walk around it for an hour. The mall provided a warm dry and safe place for retirees to exercise and stay fit. Now that the mall is under new ownership, they've decided to stop allowing us to walk. What harm were the elderly retirees causing? They weren't damaging the mall. We've all read the new Code of Conduct on your website. I've never seen any of the walkers damage anything. So what's this about? We've all seen that there are some Asian ladies living in the nail salon. No one said anything about it though. We heard that some of the older lady walkers complained about some of the younger lady walkers. The new mommy walkers are a little noisy but no one complained about it. So, now we have to wait until 10:00 AM for the mall to open so we can walk?? What about the kids who show up early for the GOAL Academy School? What do they do until 10:00? The mall is in disrepair. The roof leaks everywhere. The floor tiles are all broken too. They've been waxed too much. Walkers know where the bad tiles/trip hazards are and they avoid these. Why don't you worry more about the Hispanic thieves we saw running out of Macy's with an arm full of merchandise, and into a waiting car. Why don't you do something about the Arabic food shop owners who park in the "No Parking" zone every day? Where are the security guards? Some of us older retirees are handicapped. We come early to walk at the mall, so we don't get in anyone's way. We are highly disappointed with the new owners of the mall. We are now contemplating taking our mall business elsewhere. I'll bet that a lot of other people will do the same. The Denver malls allow walkers at their malls. You new owners should reconsider...
