MaMa Fang — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Hubby and I swung by today to grab lunch while we were out running errands and I was blown away by this place. For a food court situated food joint, Mama Fang's did not disappoint.

My husband had the spicy pork ramen and the broth was tastier than some of the local ramen places around the springs! We also had their soup dumplings (the green onion and chicken) and were floored at how delicious those were. I had the spam bowl and every single bite was perfectly balanced.

The best soup dumplings I've had since moving to colorado are from up in Denver but these ones with their pan seared bottoms and excellent broth took us both by surprise and may have solidified a top 3 spot. The bao bun itself you can tell is homemade, hand rolled and very fresh. I could have used a tangy dipping sauce for the filling, but they were still light, airy and hit the spot.

Lastly, the service was amazing. It looked like the couple who is running this place may be a two person hustle but they were crushing it and prepping everything to order. The lady who assisted us today was so friendly and was all smiles the entire visit. She apologized so many times for our wait, but honestly we were in no rush and 10 minutes for food that fresh and tasty was...

The prices on the screens are not actually the prices you are charged. I understand that the cost is going up but the prices should be removed if you are going to up the price. 8 dumplings was $14 and when I asked the lady at the counter about it she said she doesn’t know why “she” keeps the prices up there. She was texting in her phone when I went up to the counter and I had to get her attention. The food was ok but literally falling apart when we would take a bite of it. My daughter and I used to love to stop here for a Bao bun. It was her favorite part of going to the mall. The last time we went, the lady there was sooooo incredibly rude and condescending to the other employee she had working there that it was enough to ruin this place forever. I felt so bad for the guy. There was multiple things said by her in an attempt to try and make the guy feel stupid and embarrassed in front of customers.
