Le Regret! Ordered a chicken salad and I substituted tuna. For $12.25 I received a modest amount of cut romaine lettuce covered in flavorless tarragon dressing, a dab of plain tuna with some Mayo and a few scallions and perhaps a piece or two of celery, and three small tomato slices. The tuna amount was less than a single serving at a Subway sandwich restaurant. I make much more flavorful tuna salad at home. I cannot have gluten and if a bread was served with this pale and boring salad, none was offered. Most restaurants offer something in substitution. Very disappointing in all aspects. Note: I was so underwhelmed that I forgot to photograph my plate until after a few bites when I thought that I would document the dismal situation. My lunch partner ordered the French onion soup and searched for an onion or rich onion flavor but couldn’t find it. The soup had a congealed blob of cheese that would not “string” or “unblob.” It was very unappetizing. The roll that came with the soup was reported as good but not anything special.

This place has gone way downhill. When we first came here it was amazing. This time we waited forever for our food because this poor girl was doing everything herself and two other staff employees that were there were on their phones in the back, but clearly visible. Then the walls are gross and haven’t been wiped down, the floors haven’t been swept, nor mopped as it was sticky when I walked on it, the seats are just filled with crumbs from long ago and there was so many flies that they began to make the meal more annoying the get through than enjoyable. The real finisher was the bathroom. I almost puked the moment I opened the door. This bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in ages, to the point where there is actually feces on the outside of the toilet. I had to put my shirt over my mouth and nose and clean the toilet seat to use it. The bathroom smelled awful too and there were flies galore. The only reason this was a 2 star review is because the tortellini is still really good. I didn’t feel great after, but it was still tasty.

What a fantastic find in Old Colorado City. I didn't know anything about La Baguette when I stopped in - and I'm glad I stopped. The staff at the counter were friendly. Although they were out of quiche (my first choice), the staff had some suggestions of other dishes. I ordered an omelette which was huge, came with fruit and an enormous freshly baked loaf of bread. Loaf might be the wrong word - but something big enough you could have fed several people. All for a pretty small price. The bread is delicious - it's rejoice to any god you can find you don't have a gluten allergy delicious. These people know bread. The atmosphere is casual and there is outdoor seating when the weather is good. La Baguette serves food all day - but I'd highly recommend this for a breakfast spot with friends. Bicycle over, grab a table, and gnaw on some of the tastiest baked dough you'll find.

Omgsh...I would have gave this place 5 stars a few months back. I'm not one for bad reviews but this one hurts. This particular location has been a favorite of ours since we moved to SoCo but no anymore.

I put this more on management than the staff. I have noticed extream turnover at this location and I haven't Seen the same people there each time I go in. But I also don't see anyone training...ever.

Let's start with the 3 person line that took over 30min to clear to get to me...I thought okay understaffing. Nope...I had to repeat everything I ordered multiple times...but then the person helping me also had to rewrite the ticket 3 times...and confirm everything I ordered with the menu. I ordered a French onion soup and a croissant, a sandwich and salad, a kids scrambled eggs, a chai latte and orange juice. Finally get all of that done...get my drinks and sit down.

My hot chai latte is cold even tho I watched it get steamed. And my daughter says eww my juice. She is 3. I taste hers it tasted off. By this time my order has almost expired my parking so I ask for it togo...4 times...then I get asked what my order was...like hun you wrote the number on my ticket.

I get my food moments later...odd by okay.

Get it home 7 minutes later. The salad is the wrong dressing and the usually cooked sandwich...is not cooked and cold. My daughters eggs...not French style but this folded flat brown monstrosity...my daughter said they were gross...I agree and this girl goes through a dozen or more eggs a week...she loves eggs. The French style eggs were one of the main reasons we went there for her because I didn't feel like making them...but I should have. Then my croissant is non existent...my French onion soup is could...no cheese on top but some shredded cold cheese on the side...more chopped onions than French cut...and hardly any onions...also nowhere near caramelized. Raw chopped onions in French onion soup...disgraceful.

Make no mistake I used to LOVE this place but will now be looking elsewhere. Even when I personal chef for someone I will no longer be using their bread. Sadfully.

Honestly this all wasn't enough for me to write a bad review but this part is.

They have an open kitchen. I love it. But when your cook is openly breaking health code is where I draw the line. If food falls into your burners, contaminated surfaces, and when you pick them up with a dirty towel...you are supposed to dispose of it. Not put it back in the pot with the same tongs you just used for food then did again. And when you touch the floor and don't change your gloves...no...just no.

For someone who has worked in restaurants and food service most of my life this...

We've been coming to La Baguette for over 20 years, starting with the downtown location. There's three things we always order: fondue, French onion soup, and escargot. You really can't go wrong with the fondue. It's creamy and delicious, and served with a perfectly crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside baguette and fruit. The amount of baguette you get is perfect for drenching in the ooey, gooey and yummy cheese. Moving on to the escargot, you get six snails for twelve dollars, a little pricey! Since we always get it, you can imagine how good it is. Your escargot order will arrive at the table in a special, six-well ceramic dish, still sizzling from the carmelizing process. You scoop out a snail onto a sliced baguette and pop it in your mouth. It's buttery, garlicky, chewy and oh, so good! There's plenty baguette to soak up any remaining garlic butter. Here's the miss from today's meal: the French onion soup, and hence the four stars. The onions were not fully caramelized and possibly rehydrated. The browned cheese sitting atop the floating toast was super yummy, but those onions at the bottom of the bowl, not so good. A swing and a miss today for the normally perfectly executed dish, but I will try it again. We purchased a loaf of bread for a late-night snack of salami bread, I'm looking...

This store had me trying some wierd food- and I absolutely loved it. I was a bit iffy about wanting to try escargot, it being snails and all, but this was some of my top tier food I've had. The escargot was good, and the bread was a bit stale, but when you put the escargot on the bread it made both of them so much better. I was traveling for this and we got to try a lot of cool places, and this was probably my 2nd favourite food I had, although I would say that it may be my favourite simply because the other one was one simple burgers while this was an interesting new experience. (I know it feels wierd to say you liked a burger more than a fancy restraunt but that was probably the best burger I have ever had.) Anyways, all in all the food is what really made the place, although the service was still good. As far as the atmosphere, they had some paintings and pictures on the wall but I would've liked for them to have reminded me I was eating French just by looking around. I don't need the stereotypes plastered on the walls of course however I feel like there could've been a way to better represent it. Overall food was excellent, service was good, atmosphere was fair. 4 stars instead of slightly higher or lower because the food really carried...
