If y'all know me, I am naturally a loud person. Whisper is not in my vocabulary. I am just loud, it sucks, wish I knew how to change it, but oh well. We had been at walmart for an hour and my grandmother, who has trouble with her appetite these days and doesn't eat a lot anymore, said she was hungry. This mcdonalds is right by wal mart, right by the base where we live and overall convenient for us. I pulled up to the speaker and asked for a minute to order after being greeted (pleasantly). She came back on the speaker and said "uhh can you lower your voice" and i said "im sorry ma'am. I'll try, but I'm naturally a loud talker" and she came back on and said "yeah well oh well, our ear pieces are sensitive" so I proceeded to say "I'm sorry to hear that maam, I will try not to hurt your ears but you don't talk like that to customers." and she came back on the speaker and said "fine. You can leave my store. Have a nice night" I was astonished that this escalated so quickly over something she could have easily fixed. I did not leave. I went to the window. And I asked the nice young man to speak to the manager. He came back to the window and said "im sorry ma'am. She said she has the right to refuse service" and i said "oh she absolutely does. But I did nothing wrong. If I was being obnoxious or inconsolably rude, I would understand. But i was being respectful " She continued to refuse to come to the window. So i told the young man it is unprofessional of her as a manager to refuse to speak to a customer. I told him it is part of her job and proceeded to ask her name and how long she had worked as a manager. He told me she had been there 20+ years. 20 years folks, and the best she can do is tell me im too loud and refuse to speak to me. Her name is Rosie. I feel bad for the minimum wage worker being her minion and having to communicate for her. He doesn't get paid to do that. I feel it is immature of her to force her worker to be in the middle of something he had nothing to do with. I told the window guy this and told him thank you for his time and we appreciate his hard work. We proceeded to drive to Burger King , which btw my voice did not change in the 5+ miles we drove and Burger King had no problem. I work at a call center and have a headset on my ears at all times. I do get loud callers and I do this magic trick where i hold one side of the headset away from my ear. I just don't see why she couldn't do the same. I seriously understand the irritation it causes to us when there are loud noises in your ear. But there are a million different ways it could have been handled. She made me feel like garbage for being myself and she invalidated my feelings and our money. I don't expect our money to be the sole reason I get service. But im respectful to anybody until i feel you no longer deserve it. McDonalds, this is not 100% your fault. But i feel you need to scrutinize the...
Read moreThe customer service was pretty good, except they could ask if you want anything else included such as salt. They could offer dipping alternatives for French fries, such as ranch or another sauce, for people who have food allergies, such as tomatoes. All foods should have a list of what ingredients are in them, especially condiments, like the "special sauce." The staff should know what the ingredients are in things like the "Special Sauce," as well as the other sauces, if the ingredients are not listed on the sauce packets, or the sauce doesn't come in a package, only on menu items, such as the "Big Mac." The restrooms need to be available during business hours, when the dining room is open for people, paying and non-paying. The lobby has convenient hours. A time limit is understandable, but 30 minutes is not an adequate amount of time for most customers, especially those with children, and those who like to be able to take time to relax and enjoy their meal. No one wants to, or likes to, be rushed through their meal. Please consider adding more time to the dining room meal time limit, considering the ridiculously extreme increase in the menu prices. Considering the menu prices are consistently becoming more overpriced for the quality, McDonald's isn't the go to place for value or quality, and with as much as the food items cost, the restaurants rush customers through their meals, it's next to impossible to get the staff to open the bathroom door for paying customers and absolutely impossible for non-paying and paid customers, without the receipt, even when the staff did not provide a receipt to the customer, due to register printer issues. There are often times, at many McDonald's, not only in the State I am currently in, but in other States I have been to, a language barrier between English speaking customers and Non-English speaking staff members. Encourage English as a Second Language lessons, or some alternative to these staff members to bridge the...
Read moreIt’s okay not great but then again I am not a fan of fast food. I’s take a home cooked meal over this ANY DAY! But on an extremely rare occasion I like to mess with my stomach and intestines causing myself to feel sluggish and groggy! I’m sure it has nothing to do with the heavy greased, salty fries, etc. I love the fact that you never know if anyone has washed their hands, dropped your food or even what’s actually in all the stuff your eating! Do we even know if it’s all real hamburger, real chicken or fish or a mixture? Who cares, it’s only your body we are putting this stuff in to! Plus, a person has the right to spend their money where they want! However, the large drink for only a $1. Now that’s a deal! The sweet tea is good! Especially when you need a sugar rush! I’m going to sound like my parents now… but I remember when the price of a “value meal” was far less! You could get 4 back in my day for what people now pay for 2 if lucky!! My advice is to not eat this to often, it’s only your health & happiness at risk! I never understood why people would get the best of the best - for themselves such as cars, houses, etc to include what they put into their house or cars- the better gas, better oil, nice furniture etc but never concerned themselves with what they put into their body- this is the house for your soul- nothing else matters if this falls apart! If your unable to move when you are older- that nice car or house won’t be needed! Take care of yourself! But it’s ok to splurge every now and then (less now more then!) We shouldn’t deny ourselves! However, many of us allow ourselves to much and to often… with to many things! Too much of anything is not good for you with a few exceptions! Love yourself! Remember UNITED WE STAND! We are stronger in numbers! You are...
