Showed up this morning after doing the incline ready to have a good breakfast. I was seated immediately, and the experience only went downhill from there. It took a solid 15ish minutes for my waiter to come by and ask "Have you been helped?". My drink was bought to me about 10 minutes later. After this, I got to sit for about 40 minutes (during which my watch went off for sitting for almost an hour, telling me to stretch) before a girl came by with my pancakes asking if I had ordered those specific ones. I said yes, i ordered a sampler. She apologized saying it took them a minute then walked away after giving me the pancakes. A few minutes later my waiter walks by asking how everything was, to which i informed him I got only the pancakes. he asked if I was missing eggs and I replied i'm missing EVERYTHING but the pancakes. He walked to the back and then came back saying they were working on it. Cue another 20ish minute wait as I talked to the couple next to me who was taking their turn waiting for over 40 minutes for their food (they got up and left after about 50 minutes). Eventually I told the waiter I wanted my check to pay for the pancakes I got and was finally able to leave about 15 minutes later. I had arrived at 8:30 AM and didn't end up leaving until 9:58 AM, unsatisfied both with the food I missed out on and spending an hour and a half spending most of my time sitting and waiting. I won't be back, should've just went to waffle house like i...
Read moreI love ihop, but I will never return to this location. My party (a larger group) has been turned away on three different occasions despite having made a reservations over the phone, and this is not to mention that a number of the staff are incredibly rude. On one occasion, despite having been very quiet and polite upon entering the building and being seated, one waitress made my party sit down and listen to a very aggressive, minutes-long speech telling us that we needed to be quiet while we were there, assuming that, because we are a larger group of high school kids, we would be loud and disrespectful. This would never have been said to an adult customer, not to mention that our group has quite often been more “well behaved” (and probably tipped much better) than the other customers. Last night was the last straw, however, as one member of our party called ahead of time and made a reservation which was confirmed by the staff. When we got there (on time for our reservation), we discovered that they had let in another large group, and they denied us entry. I waited for ten minutes to talk to an employee, who then told us she could fit us in if we huddled against a wall and were only given one menu per table. I said absolutely not, and that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I’m sure many of the employees at the North Academy location are lovely, and I usually don’t complain like this, but I have had too many negative experiences...
Read moreWe went here at approximately 11pm. They were cutting a server when we arrived. He told us this as he sat us. The one server remaining was very disgruntled. He told the staff member that was leaving that he didn’t f’ing care about his shift and all he cared about was making it until 6am. A party of 12 came in and he told the server leaving to tell them the wait would be an hour and “hopefully they will leave because they are f’ing college students.” They did. When we finally got a chance to order he made by 16 year old upset as she wanted her all time favorite the cupcake pancakes. He looked at her and told her she wasn’t 12. I asked if they had that on the adult menu and he replied “well, no”. She decided she wasn’t hungry and was very upset about the entire situation. As a family of 8 who has been mistreated by restaurant staff in the past due to the number in our party the most upsetting part was how he treated the party of 12. The foul language and speaking poorly about his job in front of the customers was inappropriate as well. The food was decent, but by that point the server had ruined our late night meal. As one of the few 24 hour restaurants in the Springs you’d think you would have more than one waiter after 11 pm and have one that was grateful to be employed. $4.39 for a soda or tea is ridiculous especially for the size of the glass that is...
