Welcome to my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Oh. My. Goodness! The staff are extremely welcoming. We were the first guests to sit on the patio which is lovely. They start you off with chips, salsa, and bean dip, which is a really nice touch. I ordered beef Poblano enchiladas. They melted in my mouth! It was difficult to not lick my plate. 😂 Most Mexican restaurants in town put just dry meat inside their enchiladas. I don't know if that's a Colorado thing or what. The beef inside this one was moist with a flavorful sauce. The Poblano sauce was creamy and delicious! My husband got a combo of Chile relleno and beef enchilada. He said it's by far the best Chile relleno in town, and he's tried many. We decided to try dessert and ordered flan. I was a little unsure because the last place I got that, it was terrible. This! Oh MY! Creamy and delicioso! The flavor, different than any I've had and it could be habit forming. Again, it melts in the mouth and the mouth says THANK YOU! Service was above and beyond. You feel like you're important. We had at least 3 different people wait on us. I really shouldn't be telling you all this, because next time we come, my guess is there will be a wait to be seated. It's THAT GOOD! They surpass any Mexican...
Read moreWe spotted Mexico Real when getting off the highway and were drawn to the well designed patio. We were seated immediately outside and the staff were very attentive the entire time. I think we counted 6 different people that came by to deliver something or check on us. We are local and eat Mexican food several times per week, so we wanted to find a new place to add to the rotation. Unfortunately, the food here does not make the cut. The chips with salsa were below average as the chips were too thick while the salsa was more of a tomato sauce with little seasoning. The beans were a nice addition, but not much flavor to them. She ordered the steak real salad and I got the real burrito also with steak. Sadly the steak had so much salt that it could barely be eaten on the salad and it was the same meat in the burrito, but with soo much rice and beans in the burrito it was dry. While the atmosphere and service were top notch, the food just doesn’t cut it around here with soo many other...
Read moreWe had the extreme pleasure of having the opportunity to sip and dine at the latest Mexican Real in Colorado Springs. My wife and I were finishing up our trek from Breck and needed to knock the dust off! We were greeted by Louangel who was incredibly engaging and friendly. We loved our first stop so much that we gathered our hosts and headed back for dinner. Once again Louangel was magnificent as he took his own time to serve us. The food was fresh hot and made with love! The drinks should be experienced to truly get the essence ofthe quality of fresh crafted cocktails! This is a family owned and run gem that you ought to try! Cheers and good luck Mexican Real and my...
