To get it out of the way, the service was pretty good. The ambiance was fine too. We came in during happy hour to try some bites but ended up sitting down for dinner instead because the menu looked quite good.

When we sat down they served chips and salsa. It was pretty good, no complaints.

We ordered a tray of salmon al pastor tacos and snapper ceviche to start. Both things intrigued me, especially the ceviche, as it listed aji amarillo as the first ingredient and I almost always love Peruvian food/fusion.

The al pastor was just large pieces of very dry salmon with a little canned pineapple and some tasteless fried spinach to garnish on top of a stale tortilla. If there was another ingredient it was too subtle to detect. Even squeezing lime juice over it wasn't enough to make it fun to eat. A lime crema or something might have made it more bearable but I have a hard time imagining it ever getting better than bearable. I was hoping for something like fresh pineapple cooked with salmon, balanced acidity, a decent tortilla (even if you don't make your own, at least buy them fresh), and some bright herbs. This was dry and unpleasant in every way.

Bright side: the beans and rice served on the side were totally fine. No better than what is served at Albertacos or Taco Star but totally fine for what it is.

The ceviche was even more disappointing. There was fish, sweet drop peppers, and pickled onion. The sweet peppers were as good as normal, albeit they comprised the majority of the dish, but the fish was completely flavorless and the onions nearly flavorless. There was no indication anything was cooked in citrus. I mean, I'm sure it was, right? But there was zero acidity. Zero brightness. Zero any flavor. Zero detectable aji amarillo (the first ingredient listed). It was worse than the ceviche you'd get at a resort. What I'd like to see minimum from a peruvian-ish ceviche is first and foremost some damn lime juice, then something bright and herbaceous (more than the single sprig of cilantro we received), and ideally some maize. As it was it was laughable.

We ordered some tacos de hongo to fill up, crossing our fingers that they could redeem our meal. It's a food you don't often see on a menu, but the ones I make at home are incredible, and I've had other outstanding mushroom tacos before as well at various restaurants.

To my surprise, these were even worse than the dry, old fish tacos and the flavorless ceviche. They were basically just wet shredded carrot salad on more stale tortillas. It was comical. At this point in my meal I was actually having fun because the food was so bad I couldn't help but laugh. I don't even know what more to say about those tacos. At the very least make the base of the taco out of mushrooms, not carrot salad. Fried or roasted oyster mushrooms make for glorious tacos.

I also wanted to order a quesadilla de huitlacoche, but they serve it on flour tortillas for some reason, which really doesn't pair well with huitlacoche, and once I realized how horrible the food is, I'm glad I didn't have to experience a yummy food like huitlacoche ruined by these people.

For what we paid, we got a decent amount of food. Again, the service was plenty good enough. But the food that looks so appealing on a menu does not translate to food that is fun to eat.

I will never go back to this place. If the manager reached out to me offering a free meal, I'd rather pay them to not have to eat this garbage again. It's a shame and an embarrassment to...

I never review but if I could give less than 1 star I would. Customer service is important. We were told there would be an hour wait time which was okay for my party of 3 & we ended up waiting only 25 minutes or so which was great! We were seated outside without asking but we aren't picky people so we didn't say anything. We put in drink orders which took about 20 minutes & they were busy at the bar so we were content with waiting. We put in our appetizer order and while waiting we asked for the heaters to be turned on outside. The waitress came back another 20 minutes or more later to tell us they weren't working so we asked if there was space inside. She gladly moved us inside. After about an hour, we finally received just our appetizer. One out of the two we ordered. Another 5 minutes later we got another appetizer that we didn't order which the waitress said would be on her. We were a little annoyed having to wait so long for a few things & to not get what we wondered but we were insistent on waiting since we finally were able to put in our food order. While we were eating our appetizers, another woman approached us asking if we could move to the bar to clear up the table we were at for a larger party. We declined and said we were more comfortable staying where we were and the lady who approached us said it was no big deal. Seconds later we were approached by another woman essentially telling us we had to move and didn't have a choice. At this point it had been an hour and a half & we told them we would just take the check. We were immediately dismissed and received our check in less than a minute and it was processed even faster. We only ordered drinks and appetizers and spent $70 between 3 people. Again we aren't picky people, we're very patient & are easy to please. This was the WORST experience we've ever had in any restaurant. The customer service from everyone involved was terrible & the food was not worth waiting an hour and a half & would have continued to wait for our entrees. There are better Mexican food spots in the springs and for the hour+ wait I'd rather drive to Denver to get better food. We will never return or recommend this place to anyone, it...

Max the owner is a great guy and upfront about his business. I met him last night at Milagros which was our first time and it was our anniversary. Jose was our server.

First Jose when we spoke to him about the special drink that night couldn't relay to us what was in it, but could only tell us that it was "spicy". Second he spoke to me mostly not my wife and again it was our anniversary. My wife and I are servers and you always make the woman feel more important

Second our margaritas for me as a previous bartender you look for a mixologist version not the bartenders version of a margarita. It was a Strawberry Margarita, whereas my wife didn't mind it, there was no strawberry and no mixing of the drink. Some people will like the abundance taste of alcohol but I like more of a smooth taste.

Third we asked about a crunch releano if that could be done and all Jose could say it was soft. We ordered the Cameron's which were 6 prawns wrapped with bacon in a Chipotle salsa. I can say this Apertivo was the star of the evening. The fajitas were not seasoned well. We go to the Loop in Manitou and take the drive for their amazing seasoned food.

Fourth as a Server myself and my wife being a server, we were not impressed with Joses'service. We are big tippers for great service as we know the hospitality industry. Our server did not pre-buss our tables and served me first all night. My wife should've been served first. And to not mention anything special or offer his favorite was unheard of especially with it being our first time.

This was not an awful night by far as it was still our anniversary and it was nice to try something new. We in the industry take pride in our work and are well aware of the in and outs of restaurants as I have managed many restaurants as the front of the house manager but we do make it known when we are happy as we frequent a place that offers great food and great service.

Max this is just for you it was great to meet you. Good luck on the business there are just some things that have to be tightened up so you don't have so many ups and downs. May everything work out...

Holy moly. Wow. Jiminy Christmas and all other exclamations. Milagros Cocina Mexicana delivers on all fronts. The ambiance is relaxed yet still classy, the service was on point - very attentive and personable (shout out to Derek), and the food; my god the food. And the drinks! Oh man. Man oh man. Why did they have to open so close to home. We started with their house chips and salsa and of course Brad asked for spicy salsa and the ghost chili salsa was amazing - spicy but still packing flavor. So good we asked to get some to go. Then we were delivered an appetizer of their prawns wrapped in bacon - while the bacon could have been rendered further, the entire starter was so good you don't notice. The sauce was banging on this app as well! I got the Cochinita Pibil and a La Flaca marg and the mister got the Filet and the Zarzaca (? Can't find it on their online menu, blackberry mezcal drink) and both the drinks (most places make drinks overly sweet) and the meals were beyond our expectations. There was no way I was finishing my meal without having to be hauled out of there and the to go box was far heavier than I anticipated - this is all to say while the food is delicious, you still get a bang for your buck. I was surprised at how perfectly his filet was cooked, especially when comparing to steakhouses who only do steak and still don't deliver this quality. To say we will be back is an understatement and I will be sending the bill for my wedding dress alterations to Milagros because there is no way I'll fit into it come October.

I have to say, this was hands down the most flavorless Mexican food I’ve ever had. The salsas and pickled sides looked colorful, but they had absolutely no punch—bland and watery, with none of the spice or tang you’d expect. The queso, guacamole, and salsa trio were just as disappointing. The queso tasted like plain melted cheese with no seasoning, the guacamole was dull and lifeless, and the green salsa was all color with zero flavor. The molcajete platter with meat and shrimp was a letdown too. The beef was chewy, the chicken dry, and the shrimp rubbery. The sauces they came with did nothing to bring them to life. It all just felt like a pile of ingredients thrown together without any care. The tacos should’ve been the highlight, but they were greasy and bland. Even the consomé, which is usually rich and savory, tasted watered down. The rice and beans on the side were just as lifeless, lacking any seasoning whatsoever. Overall, the food looked decent when it came out, but every single bite was flat and uninspired. For a cuisine that’s supposed to be bold, vibrant, and full of flavor, this was nothing but a huge disappointment.
