SooooooâŚ. It takes a lot for me to leave a really negative review, but I was really unhappy with the service at this Starbucks in Target.
I ordered a large English breakfast tea with milk. I said I did not want the milk steamed. When I received my drink it was cold. I asked the barista if she could warm it up. She said she could not warm it up and gave me half a small cup of hot water. I told her it was very cold and the hot water would not fix it. She responded, with an attitude and said you ordered it half tea and half milk and you didnât want the milk steamedâ itâs going to be cold. I told her I did not order it half and half, I just asked for milk.
I got a little annoyed because while I realized the cashier could have misunderstood me, there was no reason for the attitude. Eventually, she asked me if I wanted her to make my tea again and I said yes. My second cup of tea was letâs say mediocre at best. A large tea comes with two teabags. Mine did not. I asked a second tea bag and we both looked at the empty carton tea hanging on the wall. With her now commonplace attitude she told me to wait while she got some more tea. When she returned with the tea she asked me if I wanted her to make the tea again or if I just wanted the tea bag. I told her I would just take it and add it to my tea myself.
I am deliberately not mentioning the baristaâs name. I respect people who work in the service industry and frankly I do not think I could do their job. However, the barista definitely made my large tea with one tea bag hoping I wouldnât notice. For a person like me who takes their tea seriously, it makes a difference. Poor attitude...
Read moreThe ladies who work here were all working and being conscientious of me for sure. The young man who took my order was less than helpful and made me feel embarrassed . No one was there in line so I walked straight up tot he counter and waited for him to turn around and acknowledge I was there. He was talking with his back turned to me talking with a coworker. When I asked if this is where I order, he said , no, you need to order down there .. pointing to the other end of the bar. As Iâm walking away he says, âJust kidding.â Embarrassed I walk back and said I would like kale and mushroom bites. He said we donât have those. Not offering any suggestions I had to ask if they sold any of those⌠as if I were bothering him, he went down a list . He put my order in the register and when I lifted my hand to pay cash, he turned his back again, standing there with my mo yes out, the girl next to him says, â Can I help you?â?? Told her Iâm just trying to pay. The young man turns around and says no you need to put in your phone number. Getting frustrated at this point I put in my number and the girl finally takes my money and delivers change. The young man, is still right in front of me at the counter with his back turned to me just chatting with the girls. Another girl made my egg bites and I picked them up At the end of the counter. This young man does not belong in customer service in my opinion - heâs just wanting to chat with the ladies - not business and trying to impress them in my opinion. I wonât be back to this location and if I do, I may need to speak up next time and tell that young man to please be more professional and have some...
Read moreLast week I watched as a Target employee asked the barista to warm their food from home in Starbuck's toaster oven that they use for warming pastries and breakfasts.
I didn't think much of it at first until I realized how unsanitary and dangerous this type of behavior could be.
I reached out on Twitter to Starbucks and Target and both talked sternly about opposing the behavior but no evidence of a follow through. This is unacceptable. The reason people go to big corporations is because there is an international standard, where my experience "here" will the same as my experience "there." Why would I pay the premium for Starbucks when greasy gas stations across the street have a better attention to detail and customer care and health?
I will never return to this Starbucks because I highly doubt that their toaster oven is the only...
