My husband and I recently got married here in the Greenhaus on 5.10! From the start of the process, we were met with exceptional service. Upon my first inquiry, Max the GM scheduled a one hour in person meeting with me to answer any initial questions I had before booking. It was also very important to my husband and I that pizza was the menu, so he had a complimentary tasting of their flatbreads set, so we could ensure we liked what they offered. Even Chef Brad came in to meet me and chat about any alterations or special items we wanted for the menu, like bbq chicken flatbread and an icecream bar! Also, I do not like mushrooms, but let me tell you, the mushroom flatbread is delicious!! This experience solidified everything for us, so we moved forward with booking! From there the planning portion started. I will say this was the only part of the experience that didn’t match the amazing quality of the other interactions. Cassandra forgot our initial meeting and I had to reach out to remind her and ultimately reschedule. She was not very responsive and left me waiting and wondering on questions for weeks at a time. It just felt that we were not a priority to her at all. In the end, everything was executed how we had discussed. The night of was absolutely perfect. It was stated in the contract that any personal or outside rental decor was to be set by us, the clients. I sent my family over a bit before reception to start set up, to find that all our rented linens, glassware, flatware, etc were already set! All my family had to do was the personal decor like runners and guest book. It took a huge amount of stress from them, we are so thankful to the team at Kinship who did this. They even printed menus for each place setting as a little surprise! I loved it. Head of front of house, Kristin deserves so much praise and recognition. Within five minutes of our arrival to the reception she had a plate of appetizers made and delivered to us to enjoy. She kept us updated with each new step in the timeline, when food was coming out, champagne being poured, etc. She was so friendly and attentive, I highly recommend her for the day of your event! Chef Brad also made a cameo again to make sure we enjoyed the food and congratulate us. He is a true hospitality gem. Thank you for making me my bbq chicken pizza that isn’t really a pizza 😂 My husband and I did stay overnight as well! The rooms are SO cute and cozy. Very modern and perfect for getting ready photos too. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend Kinship Landing for your next small event. ❤️

Read moreReally unpleasant experience booking through them. Was hard to find a room because everything is booked out well in advanced. Even still they are unwilling to cancel or refund even with several months notice. They could and would easily fill the room, and in fact probably did anyways, double profiting from the room.
Front desk manager is snarky and seems to enjoy snubbing people out of their money. Absolutely zero sense of humility or customer care. Zero willingness to work with me or my situation in any way. There was an obvious and overplayed abundance of attitude over the phone. Saying what had to be said as a customer service representative, but in the most disrespectful tone possible.
Because they were unwilling to cancel, i rescheduled. They forgot to follow through with the reschedule and charged me additional fees for the hotel on the original scheduled date. I had to call and dispute those charges. They are still unwilling to refund or provide any sense of support other than a snarky attitude after their mistake. Really seems as though they enjoy and get some form of satisfaction out of telling people no.
Edit: In response to the business’s comment. Nice job quickly changing your response to exclude the same sarcasm I was met with on the phone, which was present in your first unedited response.
“Vacation planning” which is the booking option I used, implies that I was PLANNING a vacation, which I was. It does not imply a sense of permanence.
I personally think you can not speak for all hotels. I had also booked with several other hotels in the area before my job and honeymoon situation changed and every other hotel allowed a full refund. I also think that policy should exist as a guideline and that the real objective of every person and business is to accommodate reasonable requests that create no loss of revenue or profits and allow both the business and customer the least amount of resistance or hardship. There is no reason for you to be so harsh or difficult on people or their wallets.
Lastly, your facility dropped the ball AGAIN by forgetting to reschedule me and charging me AGAIN on the original booking date when I had called to reschedule months in advanced….Costing me even more money out of pocket during a honeymoon and more time spent talking to your unhelpful staff on the phone which comes to no...
Read moreHorrible experience. We rented their indoor area for a party and just about everything that you could imagine went wrong. They specifically said that the menu for guests would include all the well drinks options under the package we bought. Instead it was a premium drink menu so for the first hour our guests were getting charged for drinks and we didn’t even know it. So embarrassing.
We spent hours putting together a slide show for our wedding that they specifically said would work on their tv and they had a Mac adapter. Well they didn’t have it and so we couldn’t play our video. Just a huge bummer.
They stopped serving food 1 hour before the event ended. We had some guests come late and had to order from the menu and pay on the side. They also never came and replenished our cheese plates and veggie plates. 300 bucks each for literally just ONE plate. It’s pretty reasonable to think that for that price there would be several of them and on different tables. When guests see 1/3rd of a plate left halfway through an event they aren’t going to eat too much more, but if it keeps getting replenished they will keep eating. Huge fail.
It rained outside and the roof was literally leaking from the top we had towels down and it was leaking from the side of the garage doors. We had some grandmas there that had to leave because it was just too much of a slip hazard for them.
They told us that $500 that we spent towards the venue cost would go towards our food and drinks, but then later they took it back and said that we “must of misunderstood” what they meant. Umm ok what did you mean then?!
We had a lot of guests stay there as well and the reservation system was a disaster. They told us early check in wouldn’t be a problem as long as they could allow it and they ended up charging an extra $10 for early check in but never told us that in advance. Bad form for a hotel to do that They also told us none of the guests would have to pay extra for parking but some of them actually did get charged.
And to top it off I tried to contact their manager regarding some of these things and I still haven’t heard back and it’s been several weeks.
Such below average service!! We...
