My last 2 experiences here were unsatisfactory. The time before last I opened a tab with a debit card but paid cash when I closed the tab. They charged my card and took my cash, double-charging me. I didn’t really care to come back after that but I did. This time I sat at the bar for 15 minutes while the bartender was pacing back and forth with nothing to do. I stared at him, he looked back at me and continued pacing. A couple came up beside me and he immediately took their order. After serving them he went back to pacing the bar at which point I said “excuse me” at which he replied “I’ll be right with you.” He then began cleaning up beer glasses. When he finally came over I verbalized my displeasure with his service, admittedly in a not so tactful way. He told me he wouldn’t tolerate me and asked me to leave. It doesn’t bother me that I was asked to leave, I wanted to leave, but not before voicing my complaints. I’m sure this place is probably better than that but with my luck this is the kind of stuff I had...
Read moreI came in to drink some beer and use my culinary insider to be told that the kitchen closed at 8 pm...on a Saturday evening. Their excuse was the kitchen orders were slow so they decided to call it a night. What!? On a Saturday? However, the manager did give us a round of free drinks to make up for it. I feel as though I can't give a real review as I haven't tasted any food.
Update, 2/10: My husband tried calling in a dinner order only to have the phone ring 20 times and the call disconnects. He tried to call again, same thing. On the third try, he connected with the tap room in monument explaining that he can't get anyone at the downtown location. This resulted in the staff member on the phone (in Monument) texting a staff member (at the downtown location) the dinner order. My husband gets there with his food ready, thankfully. Please work on your...
Read moreThis place would be nothing if it weren’t for the co-op. Let’s imagine the brewery alone. As it stands, with no support from neighboring food vendors. Decent beer, variety, several capable of satiating a spectrum of taste buds. Next the atmosphere: Couches, Cadillac chairs at the bar. A trivia DJ in the corner, with a solitary speaker using a paid program to deliver answers to relatively simple questions. The roof deck, covered in turf with just enough space for corn hole, but not enough to inspire patrons to play.
This is a brewery with so much potential but one that thrives of its neighbors rather then lifting them up with it. For this, I leave 3 stars. But this night out with a...
