I love Wade’s Cafe, but I gave it two stars because of the server. Only discovering it two yrs ago, we’ve probably been there around 10 times. But the last two times we’ve been there, we happened to get the same server. She does not write any orders down. And she messed them up, those last two times. We were like she’s probably gonna mess our order up, again, and she did. The first time she messed up, it was no big deal. We are pretty laid back people. But this time she messed up, I ended up throwing up in the bathroom. I ordered a mushroom Swiss hamburger, she even asked me how I wanted my hamburger cooked. I told her well done. My daughter is lactose intolerant and asked for no cheese. My husband’s order was fine, my daughter’s order came with cheese, no big deal my daughter just took it off, and gave it to my husband. I look at my order, not realizing at first it’s chicken, but the first thing I see is a little bit of Mayo on my tomatoes. I said ma’am I’m sorry but I’m allergic to eggs, Mayo got eggs and I handed her the tomatoes, she said oh I’m sorry I’ll get you another thing of tomatoes, I said thanks, at that same moment I see chicken, I called out to her, she was only 3 steps away and I said, um ma’am, I thought this was suppose to be a hamburger sandwich, and she said ooh I’m so sorry, I made a mistake, I’ll get that changed for you. I said I’m allergic to eggs, chicken and turkey. Otherwise I would eat it. Well, knowing I’m allergic, they must of just switched the meat and used the same bread, same mushrooms and Swiss, because 5 mins after eating my sandwich, I had to run to the bathroom. And I throw up 3 times. It was so humiliating. There were people in the stall next to me, a person came into the bathroom and was waiting and I know they could hear me throwing up. I was thinking they probably think I’m one of those people who make themselves. I was embarrassed to show my face. So I stayed in there until everybody left. We got our check and left to go home, because I was still feeling like I had to vomit. Which I did vomit just a little when I got home. I super mad that they did not hear the word … ALLERGIC .. and take it seriously. I could’ve enjoyed my whole burger, but was only able to eat half of it. Granted, she did take it off the bill, which I was glad for, because I would’ve said I’m not paying for it, I just threw up because you don’t know how to write things down. And this is not the first time she’s made that mistake. I remember the first time we had her, the table next to us, she messed up their order too. They weren’t happy and was complaining when she left. Please have your employees write the orders down so the next time we come, I don’t have to run to the bathroom, and I can actually enjoy my meal, that I would’ve loved to pay for. On top of that, get the...

I wanted to sit outside and BB didn't have their patio open so I called around to see what did. Wade's came through. Also a plus, there wasn't a wait for the patio when we arrived around 11:45am this Sunday. I ordered the #2 Special, Meter Reader with Famous Wade's Maple Iced coffee. -The #2 comes with Biscuits and Gravy, 2 Eggs and Hashbrowns. I asked for the hashbrowns crispy and eggs to have grilled onions and cheese. Eggs were good. Nice amount of cheese on them, but I wish it would have been melted on the griddle. It seemed the cheese was added once on the plate or wasn't on the grill for long. The biscuits and gravy seemed standard. Biscuits seemed dense, and I would have liked more pepper in the gravy,(they had some on the table I added.) I enjoyed the hashbrowns the most, but could have had them even more crispy. -The Iced coffee tasted like typical diner coffee. I couldn't really taste the Maple in it which was disappointing. It wasn't bad though. It had frozen coffee ice cubes in it as well as normal ice cubes. Personally I think the frozen ice cubes are a good idea so as to no dilute the coffee, but it makes the coffee taste old bc it's not fresh tasting when it comes from the freezer.
He got the Ranchman's Breakfast. It comes with unlimited pancakes (no sharing) and 2 eggs plus a choice of meat. The pancakes were standard, again good soft scrambled eggs and griddle fried ham.
We also got a side of bacon, 1 rolled pancake to try and a side of green chili. -The bacon had good flavor and was in the middle of soft and crispy. -Rolled pancakes (like a crepe) was moist and good. I got the French style topping which is strawberry and whipped cream. I think it was a bit too sweet for me with the glazed strawberry and sauce; this was without even adding the syrup. I think fresh strawberries and cream would have been better; the tartness of fresh strawberries would balance out the sweetness in the dish. If you like sweet desserts/flavors though, you'll like it. -The green Chili had a predominantly green bell pepper flavor to me. It was good. Only a warm heat spice-wise.
They offer green and red tobasco and ketchup as well as salt and pepper. The water tasted good. Might sound odd saying that to some people... but some water tastes weird to me. 😆 Like bleach or iron depending on how well the cups are washed and the state of their pipes. 😬
All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. They...
