I'm not sure why I've had such bad luck at this location but today I didn't even get a chance to order. For some unknown reason no one seemed to be taking orders at the drive-thru, at least not quickly enough to move the line. Meanwhile, a couple trying to get into the restaurant were unable to because all the doors were locked; we could see that there were diners inside. They went away frustrated; a pretty good rule of thumb for me is of other people are visibly frustrated by the fast-food experience I probably should try elsewhere, particularly when employees aren't even able to move the line at the drive-thru. Chick-fil-A was very good 2 businesses away. ...previously, (4 years ago!): Sunday evening. Long wait, slow service, drive-thru only had a couple cars but they seemed overwhelmed. I was served a luke-warm hamburger that was cool on the inside, not under-cooked, apparently just not kept hot and/or not thoroughly reheated from the time it was cooked. Fries were over-cooked and neither fresh nor hot. At the window I was given incorrect amount of change, $6 short, but she corrected her mistake without any trouble and I guess I was relieved and so drove off and away and parked. Obviously didn't finish my meal. I thought about calling them the next day but I honestly believe leaving this review is the best recourse for all. This Wendy's has a great location, they just don't have great service or great food. Neither was even adequate on the Sunday night I visited. Won't go back probably; definitely won't go back at night. They've made a lot of cosmetic upgrades in recent times to this location--but what good is that if they don't prepare and serve...
Read moreWent through the drive thru. The wait was a bit long but I didn't mind that as much as the girl at the window who handed me our food, and quickly shut the window. She did this so fast that I had to wait for her to turn around, ready to handle the next car before I could ask for dressing and sour cream... only as soon as I requested the dressing she closed the window grabbed the dressing, then practically tossed it at me, and quickly shut the window and turned around so fast that I couldn't finish my request for sour cream. I waited for her to again turn around to help the car behind me, before I could finish my request. She grabbed it but it was obvious by her nonverbal communication that she was irritated with me. Her speed in attempting to dismiss me did not make the line move faster... and why not take a little time to ask me if I needed anything else such as napkins, condiments, or my receipt? This type of disregard isn't really appropriate in any food service setting, it stands out dramatically with Chick-fil-A a couple businesses over who always asks if you need more and finishes your order with letting you know that it was their pleasure to serve you. I'm not saying Wendy's needs to be Chick-fil-A I am saying some common courtesy would be appreciated. If I would have had my receipt I could possibly have reached out to corporate without going through Google. Hopefully my experience is not the norm for all customers at...
Read moreShowed up at around 12:05AM (closes at 1A) to the drive through. What I think was a manager seemed awfully put off that we showed up at that time - threw his hands up as we drove around the building.. Drive through service was OK, but the cashier failed to return my debit card or receipt. Burgers were ok, fries were cold and my "Large" was 1/2 full.
A couple of take-aways - to the man who threw his hands up : #1 we can see you in the window #2 if you don't like late night work.. don't do late night work. If you take payment via CC, make sure to give back the CC with the receipt as it prints - this should be an automatic response for any drive through worker. It cost me a 30 minute round trip the next day to retrieve my card. Late night - it should never be acceptable to scrape the bottom of the barrel on fries that were cooked ~30+ minutes ago and fill a 'large' 1/2 way full. Most customers who show up past 11:30P understand that to get hot fries, it may take 3-5 minutes extra. We are all OK to wait for that. If you don't want to have to drop fries late at night, don't be open that late.
Wendy's is a good place, and I'm sure this is a decent restaurant - going back during the day, it appeared to be fast and busy. Night shift...
