The food is decent, but they really need to hire another person to run the register at rush-hour I.e. lunchtime because I ordered one plate for my son and I, and I waited until after four other people received their orders. I thought because I ordered the grilled chicken that it took longer; however, when I went up to the counter, the guy running the register and helping to put pitas together said he couldn’t find it and then he said he gave it to somebody else, so they started making another one right away, but then he asked what my name was, and then he saw it on the counter. I’m not sure why he never called my name, but suffice it to say they really need another person helping out.
On a positive note, he apologized three times, and they offered to make it right away. I’m just a little upset that he never called my name and just left it there on the counter. To everyone else, he called their name when the order was ready, and he wished them a nice day, stay safe, etc. etc.. I had already left a 15% tip when I paid before the order was complete. I have worked in the food service industry, and I understand mistakes happen, but he looked quite over burdened with two tasks before we even ordered.
Also, on a positive note, they have...
Read moreAfter having ordered online twice and once in person they were unable to get my order right and I was forced to wait an additional 30 min for them to remake my order all 3 times . All 3 times I witnessed severe examples of cross contamination as well as money handling and then handling food right after handing paper money , no hand washing or glove wearing , just straight from money to food and that was with literally everybody's order that was in line as well .
The staff has no sense of urgency and seemed confused when you place an order with any kind of customization . When I finally did receive the correct order after over an hour of waiting since the time of the order was placed , it was less than satisfying at best . Soggy , very cold and just sad with the flavorless ingredients that barely seemed to exist.
I don't understand why this place has such a high rating considering my 3 times there were a massive failure in every way possible . I want to like this place but with the insane lack of cleanliness , huge failures in customer service and the lack of flavor of the food , it makes it hard to want to...
Read moreI never write online reviews unless a warning is in order, or a business is truly outstanding. This is a case of the latter.
Colorado mountain towns are beautiful and full of activity. There's great beer, rushing rivers, mountain views, ample nearby hiking, and that THC-powered laidback element that collectively make for the relaxed vacation we all need. What these same towns typically lack is decent food. The fare is priced high and pitched low. It's hard to get fresh ingredients out in them hills, and patrons apparently are willing to accept the lovely surround as seasoning enough. The result is terrible value, boring options, and poor execution.
Skull Creek Greek is the rare exception. I have never had a gyro this good. The food just breathtakingly delicious. It's even well-priced, and they offer creative spins on the classics. I don't know how they do it. To exceed the quality of big-city options where there is cutthroat competition, and manage it without a big hit to the bank account, is a testament to craft and even humanitarian decency. Eat at Skull Creek Greek. It is...
