There is no parking lot for this Starbucks, it's shared with another business and the drive thru circles the building passed both the entrances and exits so it's impossible ot get your car in/out without a significant level of effort. Forget about parking here. The staff today were extremely unprofessional, we arrived early for the mobile order set with a pickup time of 11:25, I got to the comm about 11:16, we were in the line for 10+ minutes with an even longer line behind us and several cars still ahead. They told me it'd be ready at the time provided by the app and to be appreciative of their time and customers and go back through the line instead of just staying in the line through to the window which arguably should've been long enough as it was. I asked them why I couldn't just wait in the already lengthy line, they told me to be more appreciative, 2 or 3 other people talking over each other on the comm and then another one joined in and told me to cancel my order I'd have to go to the window, which we all already know you can't cancel a mobile order with Starbucks for some ungodly reason. By the time I could even get to the end of the next line to start waiting in line again as they asked me to because of the horrendous parking lot, it was already 11:25, our drinks were warm and not extra hot as ordered, this is why I didn't want to start waiting in line at my ready time because if I wanted cold coffee I'd have ordered it that way. The cups are only half full, I would say I won't order at this Starbucks again but I will, so I can ruin their mornings like they do...
Read moreNot very good with social distancing guidelines! As a traveling ER nurse working in a city with a very high COVID death rate, I have had a lot of exposure to COVID patients. Although I protect myself as much as possible from exposure since I am a frontline worker during this pandemic, the possibility is greater for anyone I come in contact with. So, I try to protect others by keeping my distance and wearing a mask when I know i may come in contact with others. I ordered ahead to avoid as much contact as possible. I was on my motorcycle (which is loud) and going through a drive-thru causes extra time due to the fact that I turn my motorcycle off while in line. I parked my motorcycle and walked to the window (keepimg my distance when I told them I had an order for pickup). I was informed they couldn't hand me my order without being in a vehicle (even though they've done that very thing multiple times in the past and I was actually further away than most are in a vehicle) and insisted I had to go inside. How is that safe? Regardless if there's a table inside for pickup, it still meant I had to subject anyone who may have been inside. I won't be back and if my order hadn't already been paid for, I would have canceled it. People in this town have absolutely no clue what it's really like with this pandemic because they haven't seen what this pandemic has done first hand. Making me go inside, knowing I wasn't wearing a mask (I had no intention of going indoors while out riding my motorcycle so I didn't even have a mask with me) is...
Read moreI usually go to the one on Broadway across from Hy-Vee. There's a reason. The Trimble Rd. Store has the least informed and courteous "Baristas" of every other store in town. I get more simple attention at the kiosk at Target. A very simple question just today. Their Go-To featured coffee is the Pike Place roast. Today they had a wicker bin with the Pike Place in a pretty container... Not exactly a Christmas thing but decorative, labeled. "Specialty Blend". I asked them a simple question. "What's the difference between the pound that I have in my hand and this one"? The girl looked at me like I was from another planet. I said. .."Well..... I have a bag of Pike Place that I got off the shelf. . I'm curious about the difference between this one and the one here that says "Specialty Blend"..,Is that one fresher.....or.. "? She turned to another guy who was there and asked him. He looked at me. Looked at the two coffees and said. "With the Special one you get the container". Of COURSE! Why in the heck didn't I think of that! !!????!!! Other than that my experience was pretty much what it's always been. Although I am still scratching my head as to just why exactly do they have two register stations at every store and no matter how busy they get they NEVER open up the other register? I have been given a gift card at the Grindstone store because my wait was so long and even though they had 10-12 people running around behind the counter they never opened up the...
