On Christmas Day, 12/25/2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m. my nephew and I arrived to this Waffle House to place to go orders. The cashier was very pleasant and took our orders quickly. As we were waiting for about 30 to 45 minutes, we never received our food and was never informed of a long wait. Other customers were also complaining about the wait time for their to go orders. Their was even a long wait for customers who ordered ahead online. My nephew, myself and another customer requested to see the on duty manager. She immediately had an attitude and yelled "It is Christmas and in the middle of shift change! What do you want me to do!" She also told my nephew and I that if we have a problem with the service that we can we go another Waffle House a few blocks away. My nephew and I immediately asked for money to be refunded. I told the manager she was rude and disrespectful in which she responded "Oh well. Have a nice day." My nephew and I both have customer service and restaurant experience. This was very unprofessional and very poor customer service. If I were to respond to a customer on my job the way that she did, I would be terminated. This experience has made me not want to patronize any Waffle House because of how my nephew and I were treated. I am not familiar with the policies of Waffle House but something must be done to reprimand...
Read moreWe originally stopped at the Waffle House on Garners Ferry road closer to I-77 (directly across the street from the Scottish rites Temple) and, as they've been doing recently, they said that their location was closed for eat-in dining, and they only provided carry out dining there... and I'm not even sure, I think it was call in curbside dining after a certain time in the evening. They gave no explanation other than Covid but this has happened to us previously at that same Waffle House, and yet we've eaten late night at other waffle houses that provide dine-in service. Some of my family members volunteer at a haunted house so my daughter and I have very few places where we can sit down and eat at that time of night. Thank God we decided to go to the Waffle House closer to Walmart: they were going full out, with full service eat+in dining...while still observing Covid safety protocols. We were able to get a table right away, even though they were busy. The employees were moving very quickly and our food came out very soon after we ordered it, and was absolutely right on the money. It hit the spot and we're very grateful that those guys are working so hard. I suspect other people were leaving the Waffle House location that was only taking phone orders and coming to the waffle house...
Read moreWhat can I say, I haven’t been to a waffle house in over 5 years. Last one was in North Carolina and Swore I’d never return. My son said that this is the best one around. . We drive by many waffle houses and there’s nobody in them.
Like Starbucks there’s one on every corner.
We got there around 11:00am and the place was packed. Good sign I thought.
Ladies serving were very loud and were talking about their personal lives. Dish handling and cleaning was over the top.
If you think you’re going to sneak out and get away from the old lady for a relaxing, enjoyable meal, think again. You’ll be running back home for some cold cereal Or one of your wife’s healthy granola bars.
Bacon was burnt and biscuits were cold in the middle and overall food was tasteless, just as I remember.
I also remembered when my check was under $6 bucks instead of $16 Think...
