The Scioto Mile Promenade in Columbus is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves beautiful cityscapes blended with nature. Stretching along the Scioto River, it’s a perfect spot for a peaceful walk, a fun outing with friends, or just to take in the views. The paths are wide and clean, with plenty of benches and shaded spots to sit, relax, and enjoy a picnic. You get some of the best views of the downtown skyline, especially at sunset – it’s absolutely stunning! One of the highlights is the fountains, which are amazing in summer. Kids (and adults!) love running through them, and it adds such a lively, joyful atmosphere. There are also plenty of spots to snap photos, and the landscaping is always well-maintained and vibrant. Plus, if you’re into biking or running, the trails here are smooth and ideal for both. Whether you're a Columbus local or a visitor, the Scioto Mile Promenade offers something for everyone. It’s peaceful yet lively, offering a perfect way to enjoy Columbus’s beauty and riverfront charm. I highly recommend spending some time here – it’s a great escape right in the heart of the city!

The Scioto Mile is a beautiful place to take a walk. It runs along the river and goes around the edges of the town. There are a few bridges where you can cross the river to get a different view on the other side. There are quite a few parks which are connected to this walkway on both sides of the river. I only walked a small part of it from the Battelle Riverfront Park to the Bicentennial Park. There was a nice viewing platform on West Town Street which gave a nice view of the river and the West Rich Street Bridge. We went during December but it wasn't too cold. It is definitely something to do if you are in Columbus.
