I ate a very pleasant and delicious "early supper" yesterday [8-1-2022] at Chipotle Mexican Grill German Village.
I had been planning to eat at a different Mexican restaurant in that neighborhood [at the southwest corner of S. High St. and W. Frankfort St.] and then attend a meeting at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission [MORPC].
My chosen Mexican restaurant had been closed. I had initially assumed that they had "gone out of business" but later learned that they are closed on Mondays.
I started to walk north [towards downtown] along S. High St. looking for an alternate place to eat. Several blocks later, I arrived across the street from Chipotle Mexican Grill German Village and decided to eat there.
Hidden inside of my backpack had been two gift cards from Chipotle; I had been able to use one of those gift cards to pay for my meal.
I ordered my traditional "Carnitas" bowl with all of the traditional ingredients; the food had been as delicious as I remember from previous visits to Chipotle, over the years, at several different locations.
I had stopped eating at the Chipotle restaurant near my home, in the Kingsdale Shopping Center, several years ago, because that restaurant had consistently been too loud and too crowded.
My experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill German Village had been quite different from my experience at the Kingsdale Chipotle [this may have been because of the timing of my meal at the "German Village" location] and had been far quieter and more relaxed than I remember from my several visits, over the years, to other Chipotle locations.
Printed on my receipt had been a four-digit code that I supposedly would have been able to use in order to access the bathroom. After the four-digit code printed on my receipt had not worked four times in a row, I asked at the ordering counter and was told that the actual code is a different code [that had worked the first time].
I am glad to know that there is a Chipotle that is not as loud and crowded as the several other Chipotle restaurants at which I have eaten...
Read moreI came into the location for a delivery pickup. The lady behind the counter refused eye contact when I came to the counter standing behind another driver waiting for an order. There is a line and she is completing a customer's payment, however she turns away from us to talk for a few minutes while waiting for that customer's order. Once she gives them their food she tells the driver his order is ready as well. He departs and she walks away to conversate briefly and laugh with a coworker and then returns to the counter and pretends Im not there and faces away from the customer's to listen to the banter between other employees. I say "excuse me ma'am" with volume and she responds to the coworker as if I haven't said anything. I say it again, she then turns to me As if she didn't have me wait for seven minutes and politely asks what I needed. I tell her I'm there for an order for Dmitri and she turns behind her, takes one of the three orders that were there when I first arrived and hands it to me. The gentleman next to her then says to me "thank you for picking up an order we had made already" I tell him thanks for allowing me to wait seven minutes for it and left. I didn't catch any names but the lady was light skinned and youthful...with terrible customer service. No need to do people that way, I just came in to complete a $5 order and she made it take twice as long as it should have to deliver them their half cold food instead of it being...
Read moreI’ve worked in service industry for 15 years. I hate leaving negative reviews but y’all have a problem at this location and I’ve seen it in restaurants before. The employees are getting so used to pre closing that they aren’t maintaining the restaurant anymore. Tonight I came in at 8:50 (the store closes at 11) and they were completely out of fajitas and completely out of steak and completely out of fajitas. If it was ten minutes to close that would be one thing. If they’d had a rush, that would be one thing. It was a sleepy night. They’d completely shut down the kitchen already and were finishing up the stoves. They already had the mop out in the restaurant. It’s not good. You should have everything that is on your menu at a place like chipotle ideally until you close. You certainly should not be out and have your grill off two hours before close. Bad shop culture needs tightened up. The person that helped me was lovely, he seemed embarrassed that they were out of everything so early. They are often out of many of their drink options and the food is lower quality than other locations. So often we are disappointed when we come here. Look at these other reviews, and imagine all the people who are disappointed and don’t say anything. You either need a change in management or the management needs...
