I stopped in at Flatiron Tavern on a Thursday evening around 5:15 before the Blue Jackets game, and it was busy! We managed to snag the last available table, but they mentioned they were down a server, so it was a bit hectic. While we were eating, they were letting people know there would be about an hour and a half wait, so I’d definitely recommend getting there early if you can.

Despite the rush, the service was solid. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and the food came out in about 30 minutes from when we ordered.

I tried 4 different sandwiches:

Flat Iron Philly (Ribeye, Habanero Pepper Jack Cheese, and Veggies): This one was quite spicy, maybe even a bit too much. The heat overpowered the flavor, and I usually love spicy food.

Flatiron Cuban: Also very spicy, again overshadowing the flavor. It was tasty, but I’d have enjoyed it more if it wasn’t so intense.

Patty Melt: It was good but pretty basic. Didn’t have much flavor, and it ended up being my least favorite of the bunch.

Club Sandwich: This was the surprise winner! Really delicious with a great flavor combo, and I’d definitely return just for this.

Overall, I’d rank the sandwiches like this: Club Sandwich Philly Cuban Patty Melt

I’d definitely recommend Flatiron Tavern and will absolutely return to try more. Just be prepared for a wait if you come...

This cozy little restaurant exceeded all expectations, providing a delightful dining experience that felt like a warm embrace. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a charming ambiance, with soft lighting, rustic decor, and a welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The intimate setting made it feel like dining in a friend's cozy home, creating a sense of comfort and familiarity that enhanced the overall experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering personalized recommendations and ensuring that every need was met with a smile. As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional – each dish bursting with flavor and made with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Whether savoring a hearty homemade soup or indulging in a decadent dessert, every bite was a culinary delight. Overall, this cozy little restaurant is a hidden gem that captures the essence of hospitality and culinary craftsmanship, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable...

I used to love getting the impossible cheesesteak from here, but it's totally not worth it anymore. The quality went down. They used to cut the impossible meat similar to that of a cheese steak, but now they just cut up a burger and put it on a bun. It's very sloppy and not worth the price. This happened one time before, but I thought maybe it was just a fluke. I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, this is the new way they are making their impossible cheesesteaks. My suggestion is to go back to the old way. You guys have competition and they are much cheaper and don't charge a transaction fee. They won't charge an extra $2.50 to get something other than potato chips. I'm extremely disappointed, but just wanted to give you some feedback from a vegetarian. We don't have very many options, but I would rather go across town to get a better option that's...

Stopped in with some friends to get something to eat. And I told everyone at the table to try the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak. And it was simply amazing. My friends kept saying it was the one of the best sandwiches they have ever had. The service was great, the food was amazing. And the overall atmosphere was laid back and cool for a Friday night. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. Can’t wait to comeback and get another Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak!! If you are looking for a solid sandwich this is your sign to go and try one here! Also they have some really amazing tater tots.

I ended up eating here because my hotel bar was unexpectedly closed and I also wanted to watch football. They have ample TVs and sound with a few other game and lottery entertainment options. It’s a tavern so I was expecting regular bar food but they have a few fun twists on the typical variety. My food was really really good and properly portioned too. I don’t know if it’s considered a “local” bar but it had that vibe. Everyone was friendly and it had a neighborly feel.
