I Like It Like That is easily my favorite cocktail bar in the city. I first found them when they competed (and won an award!) at the Art of the Cocktail Invitational, but what keeps me coming back are the incredible cocktails, the unmatched vibe, and the staff, who are genuinely some of the coolest, kindest, and most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. Every time I go, I learn something new, get to try something unexpected, and leave with a new favorite. The drinks are next-level — always thoughtful, inventive, and delicious. Whether you’re a cocktail expert, a casual drinker, or are sober, there’s something here for you. Every time I go, I’m surprised in the best way possible. Sometimes the surprise is a little snack or a fun garnish on a drink; sometimes it’s an impromptu tasting flight if you’re curious about something new (shoutout Select). If a drink sounds intimidating, trust me, order it anyway. That’s probably the one you’ll be getting again next time you come back. The vibe inside is whimsical and weird in the best way… think eclectic decor, cool trinkets for everything (order a pizza and ask for parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes and you’ll see what I mean), and stunning, totally unique glassware. Whether you’re a cocktail expert or just someone who wants a great night out, this place has you covered. It’s creative, cozy, and I can confidently say will be your new favorite spot. Just go! You’ll like it...
Read moreHaving opened only two weeks ago, I Like It Like That is already booked pretty solid, and with good reason. With multiple cozy seating areas with charming vintage flair, this stylish cocktail bar with small plates is not to be missed.
We tried four cocktails, all were unique, inspired, and delicious. The Caffeine and Casein ($17) was creamy and indulgent (but not too much!) and was served with a wedge of pecorino- such a delight!
The Pimpinella ($14) gets its mysterious, green jewel tone presumably from the chlorophyll it contains, and perfectly balances the absinthe at the finish.
Journey Destination ($15) was a standout - the oaty, bready notes were distinct and surprising, accented by a salt rim.
Under the Nose ($21) was deep dark, and accurately described by bartender Genevieve as "moody." Completely wonderful.
If good times and great cocktails are things you enjoy, then this is the...
Read moreWe threw a baby shower for my sister in law & coincidentally we had her bridal shower at Natalie’s 3 years ago. We were in the I Like It Like That space this time and it is SO gorgeous! It was the perfect size for our party & had open space and was perfect for mingling but also provided a nice spot for the mom to be to open presents! Of course the pizza is ALWAYS amazing & makes any gathering worth it :) but one of the most important components of it all was Kara Jones who helped coordinate the event and was so engaged and involved throughout the process - from start to finish! She had a great vision and was able to deliver exactly what we pictured. She is definitely an asset & we were so thankful to have her guidance! We joked about coming back for a first birthday party, to keep the tradition going, and we might go through with it! Such a fun day. Thanks to everyone who helped make...
