On 10/24/25 I ordered a sandwich to be delivered. I placed the order at 2pm with a delivery window of 3:45-4:00pm through the Jimmy John’s app. At 4pm, I get a notification from Uber Eats saying my driver was on the way to the store and would be delivering my food by 4:19pm. I work from home and my lunch break is only 3:45-4:15pm, so a 4:19 delivery would be too late. I called the store and was told they had to delegate the order to a third party because the delivery driver wasn’t in. I asked why that meant my order was going to be late as they could’ve delegated the order earlier. I was told they didn’t have any control over the third party delivery. I told the store the order needed to be cancelled because it would arrive too late and asked what could be done about the inconvenience. I was told the order could be cancelled but nothing could be done for the inconvenience. I said ok and completed the call. I then called the corporate customer service and explained what happened and was told that I would get contacted within 24 hours by the franchise owner. I asked if the owner could follow up by email as I can’t take calls while at work. No response. I called the corporate customer service back the following Tuesday and was told I should’ve gotten a contact and that they would follow up in 24 hours and if not to call back. The next day, Wednesday, still no contact so I followed back up with corporate. I was told that the store responded to them and said I have been contacted and told I have a credit at the store under my name and I needed to call the store to see what that credit was. I then called the store and spoke with a manager who told me that the order was refunded but there was no credit under my name. I called the corporate customer service back and told them that no credit existed and the owner had lied to them not only about contacting me but also about having issued a credit. I was told that, again, I would be contacted by the franchise owner within 24 hours and to follow back up if I wasn’t. At this point I have called every week day and still gotten no contact or follow up about how this would be prevented in the future. To be clear, I am not asking nor have I asked for anything more than contact. This is not my first issue with deliveries from this store and I am just trying to find out that it’s being fixed. I’m not asking and have not asked for anything free, just to have a simple dialogue. My attempts have been met with nothing but lies and silence. This whole situation could have been handled a number of different ways that would have resulted in a more positive experience, but instead it has been handled with misdirection, lies, and a total like of communication. They were not allowing sitting inside do to busy season so me and my coworkers walked next door to sit and eat inside this Jimmy John’s location. I’m a fan of jimmy jonhs and eat there from time to time. The Owner Josh approached us and seen we were eating honey baked ham sandwiches and said “are you serious” and we replied and wondered what the issue was. He was upset that we wanted to eat inside his establishment with our sandwiches from honey baked ham. I then offered to buy a cookie or drink since I understand a bit the issue. He didn’t allow this at all and kick us out instantly. As I mentioned I’m a fan of jimmy John’s but this OWNER ruined it completely for me going forward at any jimmy johns. I mean for god sake it’s a quick sandwich place. I understand a bit why he was upset but we offered to buy something from there to continue to finish our lunch and catch up since we haven’t seen each other in awhile. They just yelled out the #for the sandwiches for people to look up at the menu to see if it was theirs or not. The worst thing that did it for me was the fact that I had purchased 3 sandwiches; My hands were full, I had my keys, my wallet and my 2 toddlers with me. I walk up to the counter to get the sandwiches and I had to ask for a bag. The worker was literally standing right next to the sandwich bags and he managed to point to them and said “bags are right there and so are the napkins”… rather than putting the 3 sandwiches into a bag for me.
