We visited here on opening night and I have to say it ran super smooth and it was a great experience. It was a little awkward seating ourselves as some of the tables are communal but it wasn't off putting in anyway we just made friends with our neighbors. After 7pm they stop taking reservations and its first come first serve on seating which makes sense as it is more of a lounge atmosphere rather than a full fledged restaurant. We tried a wide variety of food options and 2 of every dessert! The pizza was our favorite from the savory menu although I have to say I still loved the tacos and sliders and my fiance was really taken by surprise by the lobster corn dogs! The birthday cake pop and the brownie batter push pop were my personal favorite desserts but I LOVE brownie batter! It was very sweet but if you love sweets you will love it! We tried about half of the signature cocktails and we really enjoyed them. Some were more adventurous than others but it was still rather unique for this area. There was one that has a szechuan pepper flower bud that numbs the mouth and give a really interesting sensation when drinking the cocktail! And there was an earl grey infused cocktail served in a tea pot that everyone MUST try because it has a surprising twist that will catch you completely off guard! It also taste amazing. The rest of the cocktails were good but not too incredibly unique, I would say it probably in the top 5 in Columbus but not number 1 I would give that to The Bottle Shop. We will definitely be back many times to try the rest of the cocktails and eat more of...
Read moreI've gone a few times and spent New Year's there, it's a nice joint! The staff is nice, the view is great, the decor is really nice, but the reason I give it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the prices are unnecessarily high for some items like single pour whiskeys, and on events like New Year's they have a spending minimum. For example, New Year's spending limit was 400 bucks not including gratuity. A cocktail costs 10-15 ish generally. Not that out of the ordinary. But, for a time slot of 2-2.5 hours, that's a lot for up to 6 people to spend. We ended up just wastefully buying things we really didn't want just to reach the minimum. I will give kudos for the complimentary champagne bottle service for the New Year's event ("complimentary" at least, I'm sure the spending minimum covered it).
It might seem like I don't like Lincoln Social which isn't true. It's an iconic bar, if not THE iconic bar, of downtown Columbus. It's just that the prices can be noticeably and unnecessarily more for the same items or drinks than anywhere else, just because you have a rooftop view and it's a Cameron Mitchell restaurant.
Absolutely worth going to. There isn't usually trashy activity going on just by the nature of it being a nicer rooftop bar (but it can happen, I've seen my fair share of drunk college girls acting a fool). A nice date night option too if you want a reason to dress nice! While they do have some food options, they're more appetizers or small personal pizza types (get the Diavolo), but credits to the chef cause they're all delicious and served with a nice...
Read moreThis is the worst bar experience I have ever had in my entire life. Everything started out fine when we came in before a show and had one drink. We went to a show, and then went and had dinner and decided to come back for a few more drinks after dinner. When my husband and I ordered another drink for ourselves, we waited over 20 minutes and never got our drinks. We asked our waitress where our drinks were and were told they were on their way that the bar was very busy, but the bar was not busy. I went up to the waitress and told her that one of our friends wanted a drink as well and to add that to our order and then that is when we were told that we were being “paced” because we had been there earlier. But we had been there many hours earlier so I don’t know what she was thinking. The manager was standing next to her and got very rude and in my face and told me if I didn’t like it, they were going to call the police and have us escorted out. I said that if that was the case, then we were going to leave so I went back to the table and told our party that we were going to leave. At that point the management had already called the police, who then forcefully escorted us from the bar, even though we had been peacefully sitting there, enjoying our drinks the entire time.
And on top of that, they tried to charge us for the drinks that they refuse to service us!
I guess they didn’t like having a party of slightly older people in their bar and wanted us to leave. I have never been so rudely treated in my entire life. I would not recommend this bar and I will...
