A friend and I went to Press Grill in Short North on a Saturday night. It looked busy but to our surprise the food and drinks came out in a snap. We got our first drink in minutes of ordering it! Not only did our server take our order but she was also our personal bartender. My friend got the cucumber spritzer with Ketel One Vodka. Refreshing and Delicious! I was undecided as always on what I was going to get to drink. After telling Bruno I like champagne, she recreated the French 57 using champagne, orange vodka and fresh squeezed lemon. I renamed the drink, "The Bruno!" She's basically my favorite bartender in Short North! Chad was our greeter while cleaning up a huge spill in the entrance! The Chad Of All Trades! After walking us to our table, he recommended a few things on the menu and said the onion rings with house made ranch dressing are a must-have! He was absolutely correct! Kind of wish we got a large instead of a small. We also got the loaded cottage fries with bacon, scallions, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and loaded sour cream. Also, you must get the Nathan's hot dog with chili, onions and sauerkraut! My friend got the Nathan's hot dog with everything but the sauerkraut. We we're both in hot dog heaven! Rob and Abraham in the kitchen did their thing! We sat close to the serving station and they were cranking the food out left and right! Everything looked delicious and made with love! Not only was Chad an amazing manager but he had a comical side to him. He told us if we weren't happy with the service his name was Erin. Turns out there was another Erin that worked there and she was just as amazing as all of the other employees that worked at Press Grill. We highly recommend this place and their food! Go get you some...
Read moreIf I could give this no stars, I would. My party of ten felt disrespected and unwelcomed from the moment we hit the door. My colleagues and I came to Columbus for a health conference and ended up at the Press Bar. Instead of saying “hello, thanks for joining us, what can I start you off with,” like a normal server, we were told to not block the way. Understandable. We were in the way in the crowded restaurant so we awkwardly pressed toward one another to create more space. When two tables become available to stake our claim to, the sever told us we couldn’t because she needed to cash out first. So we stood there ( in the way) waiting for her to collect the check that her previous guests left. Later I asked her if she was okay (because compassion, guys. Her dog could have died, or just a bad day, right?). You should have seen my face when she told me that the regulars “just get it.” And that a party of ten was overwhelming. I was and still am stunned at how she justified being so rude. They need to just change the name from the Press Bar to Regulars - that’s who they care about. I watched her chat it up with others but not us. This place was lame. If you’re visiting Columbus you’re better off at any place else - Char...
Read moreFor the second time the “new girl” messed up our order but the first to make me feel like a thief. The first time she had served my girlfriend and I; we had ordered two of the buffalo shrimps and I saw on the slip she had written 1 with a circle around it and while only one order came out and we had to wait another 15 minutes for my girlfriends order to come the new server said the kitchen read the slip wrong. The second time we were served by the “new girl” after my girlfriend and I had a couple drinks and waiting for our 6 wings, we went out to get a cigarette she yelled at us like we were running off. When we came back in we had 10 wings. After we told her we ordered only ordered 6 wings she said she couldn’t hear us and thought we said 10. I don’t care about the 4 extra dollars but I never ordered the second round of shots . I asked my girlfriend if she wanted another round and she said no but the “new girl” so happily serves us another round. I don’t care that I had to pay for the enjoyment I share with my significant other. But to be treated like how she treated us is...
