First time ever posting a negative review on a restaurant but I have a very bad experience yesterday at this location. My family and I put in a mobile order for dinner. We don’t use the mobile order option often but this is the 3rd consecutive time something was wrong with the order. Once delivered, we notice we are missing an entire sandwich and a side. In a time crunch I got in the car to drive to the store to obtain the sandwich. On the way I called them to give them a heads up and they said they’d have it ready for me. At this time, I am very frustrated as I paid a delivery fee and tipped the driver as I’m aware the extra costs of delivery is for the convenience of the order. This has now become a major inconvenience. Once I get there a nice lady working says the sandwich is ready and offers me a muffin for my troubles. Not interested in a muffin I asked to speak to the manager. I just wanted to explain to him the frustration of this order. I explained the convenience of doing mobile order has no become a major inconvenience. Not only did I pay for a delivery charge and a tip but now I have to use gas money to drive to the store to get the order correct. All he does is offer me an apology. After he says sorry I respond with, “That’s it?”. I wasn’t looking for the entire meal to be comped or anything but I was expecting something more than an apology. Even his staff member offered me a muffin but the manager…nothing. I said, “You can’t even offer to take care of the delivery fee?” He just says no and apologizes again. Being in the service industry, they didn’t care about servicing their customer. Frustrated, I grab the sandwich and leave. On my way home my wife calls to tell me another part of the order was wrong. They completely messed up another sandwich. I did not turn around to go back as I knew I would get nowhere with this manager other than an apology. I know there was no intention to mess up our order so badly but the manager could have handled this situation...
Read morei placed an order with Panera bread and was estimated a delivery time 5:38pm. noticed it was 5:50pm decided to reach out to offer to pick up my order upon calling John the assistant manger in training picked up the phone i started off by explaining how i hadn't rec'd my order before i could finish explaining. John begins to talk over me stating how they did not have any delivery drivers at their location and am sure i have the right location? how i would need to contact their 3rd party drivers (Door dash who they have contract with) to see what was going on with my order. after explaining the order was placed directly not using door dash. John said there is nothing can do about my order not being rec'd. After providing my name and the order number he claimed he was unable to locate my order. Becoming a bit frustrated due to no solution... i suggested to come up there to show proof of order and transaction. John states he feel i am being hostile and he is going to hung up. and proceeded to do such. No apology was offered for the mix up or disconnect in communication on their behalf. John didn't off re-reimbursement on the food i never rec'd. Just pretty much O well contact the 3rd party for concerns. Highly disgusted with how he handled things and the poor customer service skills. Definitely will not be back to this location. John should definitely find another job something he's more experienced at and stop making panera...
Read moreI recently had a racist experience at this Panera's. I visited this Panera one morning to grab a few bagels. There were 2 lines because, of course, each Panera has 2 registers. There was only 1 woman in front of me in my line, but the other had several people waiting. When the woman in front of me was done, the cashier (a white woman), did not take my order, but called to the other line for them to come over and get in front of me. 1 woman (a white woman), did exactly that, and the cashier took her order first although I had been standing there at the register before her waiting to be helped. The other cashier beside her looked mortified, as her eyes widened in disbelief at what her coworker had done. When she finally took my order after serving others, she did so with a smirk on her face. I'm constantly surprised at how the closer one gets to the outskirts of Columbus that this type of racist activity materializes more often. So to all of those reading, if you happen to be a woman of color, be sure to keep in mind that this Panera has no problem with marginalizing you as if your business and your person do not at all matter. Your patronage to this location is to risk paying for subservience. Although I believe the fault was with that one employee, I will never go...
