Used to be a big fan, my family used to live a few blocks away and was the only place my Itailian grandfather wanted pep n cheese from. Safe to say we have ordered quite a few pizzas from them over the last 40 years and if the owner reads this he will know his name was Foster Biagini. We won't be ordering from them anymore!! Ordered 2 pizzas, large pep n cheese and a large all the way totaling 46.00 on Sunday 1/14/24 around 8:30pm. Got them home and was suprised to see basically both were overcooked, the bottoms were overly done and had a burnt taste to both pizzas which sucked as we had been looking forward to a family favorite. Placed a call on Tuesday (closed Monday) to speak to a manager (tried That night at 10:15 but they did not answer) and was told that they would take 8.00 dollars of our next order! I thought that was kinda low and should have just replaced them but oh well. Probably wont be ordering from them again as there are plenty of options for good pizza especially when paying a premium price as...
Read morePanzera's is a typical Ohio style pizza place, located in Grandview. They offer all the standard menu items and then some (pasta dishes, etc). They even offer a thick crust option for their pizza.
I ordered a Large thick crust Pepperoni, Sausage, and Onion pizza and an Italian Sub. The total came to $27.75, which was a fair price for the area and quantity of food.
The pizza was good, not exceptional, but a decent rendition of Ohio style. I actually wasn't a fan of their sausage, it was sliced and didn't taste all that great to me. The rest of the toppings, sauce, cheese, and dough were all fairly good. The sub was surprisingly good, one of the better pizza place Italian subs.
Overall I give the pizza a 4.3, and the sub a 4.5, but because Google doesn't allow decimal reviews I rounded...
Read moreWe tried panzeras for the first time tonight. We got a medium thick crust pizza, half cheese half pepperoni and a meatball sub, which came out to be $24.00. The crust had no flavor and a very closed crumb structure, which might be an "ohio style pizza" thing. The sauce was really good and the cheese was tasty. The toppings were applied tastefully, not too many and not too few, and the pepperoni was on the thicker side, but flavorful and meaty. The sub streamed on the way home (we ordered it to-go) which I didn't mind, and I thought it was pretty tasty. My partner in the other hand didnt like the sub and thought it needed more flavor. We might go back to try the traditional thin crust sometime, but Panzeras probably won't be our...
