This place has nearly a 5 star review and we been seeing advertisements in our local Facebook community group so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were not a fan or maybe this was just not for us. Our experience was on the AYCE sushi. We been to other AYCE in the area and in the greater Philadelphia region, the sushi/ sashimi here were average. We went on a Saturday night for dinner so the price was $29.99 per person. Food came out pretty quickly. There were about 4-5 seated tables including us. We were the largest group with a table of 5 (4 adults and 1 kid). Service was alright but when it was time for the bill things felt a little weird. When we asked for the bill, the server gave us our check for 4 AYCE + 1 regular menu item $10 for my 4 year old son + $12 drinks, the subtotal including 6% tax was about $150. They had an offer to pay cash and all drinks (non alcoholic beverages like soda, tea and sparkling water) will be waived so we decided to pay in cash. We told the server we would like to pay in cash. She asked that we give her the cash first and then she would go adjust the bill. Maybe this is a new way of doing business or confusion on our end, but we asked if she could adjust the bill first so we can pay everything at once including tips. Eventually she went to adjust the bill first. However, came back with an adjusted bill and a 20% gratuity added on the total (sub + tax). The reason is because we were a party of 5 or larger. This was a surprise as we did not know this was their policy. The new total is $165 with tax and tips. No big deal as that’s probably what we were going to pay in total anyway. When we were walking out, I saw a sign at the entrance stating there is a 20% gratuity added on parties of 5 or more so womp womp faults on us for not seeing that beforehand but I’m just confused why the initial bill didn’t reflect the 20% gratuity? Why did they waited until after the drinks were taken off to add it?
Anyway, just wanted to share our experience. Please note I didn’t think we were a rude table or sat there for an excessively long time but overall we didn’t have a good impression of this place and we won’t be...
Read moreWe had a wonderful sushi dining experience last night at Extreme Sushi. My daughter and I have been to 20 to 25 different sushi restaurants. We always start with a house salad,Kani salad, and I add a seaweed salad. It's a sure fire way of testing the place and chefs out. Extreme Sushi offers an all you can eat option which we choose. We selected almost everything and were not disappointed with anything. The spicy Kani was fresh and had great taste and texture. BBQ octopus and Goyzo outstanding. Sashimi Sushi and Rolls...excellent. The real STAR was the warm and friendly service. Our waitress Nadia was a delight. Patient Knowledgeable Friendly and also Attentive and Qwik. She made the entire evening a 10 outta 10. We'd go back not only for the food but specifically to interact with her. She was so curious about my daughters body building journey and she shared her love for another Asian cuisine...Vietnamese Food, spring rolls with rice vermicelli. So thanks goes out to the chefs and staff at Extreme Sushi. Great job....
Read moreThis restaurant is an absolute hidden gem, and what a fantastic and necessary upgrade to the previous establishment! The restaurant was clean and well-appointed, and we were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Our server was very kind and helpful with ordering (we chose the all you can eat option). Every item on the menu that we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, melt in your mouth, and everything one would dream that sushi would and should be. We ordered appetizers, teriyaki, sushi, rolls, and ice cream. Everything was delivered nearly immediately, but without any rush. This sushi is easily as good or better than any in the city, or near the shore. My husband and I went for dinner, and our meal cost less than ordering takeout from almost anywhere in the area. To the owners and staff, thank you, chefs, and please, keep the menu exactly as it is! It...
